“I went with 2 friends. We were celebrating a birthday. The food was delicious! We had the beet salad, crispy brussel sprouts, whipped potatoes, Nonna's meatball, charred octopus, salmon, the ribeye, carrot cake and the smores baked alsaka. They also served us a complimentary amuse bouche of salmon tartare on a flacky pastry shell. My steak was perfection. The salmon was also very good. The octopus was absolutely delicious. It was my favorite. The service was top notch. The space itself was quite beautiful. I highly recommend. We also had a paloma and a bitter butcher. Drinks were delicious. Our server gave my friend a birthday tequila shot. Actually it looked like a double shot. Go, you'll enjoy the food and drink and you'll really appreciate the wonderful service. We spent over $100 per person but we had quite a few things. It was well worth it.”

“Natalia, our server, was incredible. She was able to handle our hectic table of 7 with ease. The food was to die for! Some tables are down a set of stairs so make sure to request upstairs if you’re not able to manage that arrangement. Vibes were pristine, 10/10 would recommend. Amazing date spot or family night out, friends in town or just a cheeky night on the town. Prices are worth it!”

“Butcher and the Bear was amazing. The food was prepared to perfection. I took my husband for Father's Day. He is a steak connoisseur and after my research, B & B seemed to be the perfect place. He indulged in the T-Bone steak with the garlic butter enhancement and a side of whipped mashed potatoes. My dish of choice was the Rigatoni Pasta. It had a very rich flavor with a hint of spice right at the end. If you're not a spice lover but don't mind a whisper, this dish is for you. To top it off we enjoyed the Biscoff cheesecake, and my oh my. The manager Tony stopped by our table to make sure our experience was enjoyable. During our conversation we found that Sapori (our favorite Italian Restaurant) has the same owner. Now wonder why it was so enjoyable. Oh, I didn't mention my glass of Moscato to sip throughout the night. Thank you B & B for the stellar meal and customer service. We will revisit soon. Until next time. Cheers!!”

“Man I absolutely love this place. Went here for my birthday dinner for the 1st and it forsure met and exceeded my expectations. When you pull up it honestly don’t even look like it’s open, it’s very discreet and blends in with the street. Once you walk in the atmosphere is very intimate and chill. It’s dark but the tables are very well lit. Service was incredible. The waiter had great recommendations, and even told us a dish that I should probably steer clear from because it’s an acquired taste. I appreciate complete honesty from waiters. I got my steak cooked medium, and it was soooo flavorful and cooked absolutely perfectly. My sister loved her chicken she got. The pasta was good, not as good as the steak and chicken. If you go there forsure get a steak. The beef tallow appetizer with wagyu candle was pretty dope, and so was the meat ball. Cocktails were good. I got a Paloma and was hooked so I only ordered that. But was such a good Paloma. Desserts AMAZING. The biscoff cheesecake was just incredible. Carrot cake is top tier too. Overall 10/10 (my daughter says 11/10 😂) no complaints at all. DEFINITELY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!”

“Service was wonderful and the drinks and food were very nice. The oysters rockefeller were hands down my favorite bite of the evening and gave the food five stars on its own. The deserts we had were amazing the bananas foster crepes 10/10 and prepared tableside which was a very dope surprise. The biscoff cheesecake was also really good so rich. I would definitely return to try the chicken.”

“While we’ve been to this restaurant a few times, I believe our server, Caesar, made it the most memorable this time around! Visiting during their Restaurant Week, Caesar genuinely catered to our preferences, recommending wine pairings from their renowned wine list, and even treated us to a dessert off-menu specially prepared for by Chef in part of our birthday celebration. We’re grateful for the team at Butcher & the Bear for welcoming us to their family, and a huge thanks to Caesar for his hospitality—love y’all!”

“I had an exceptional meal here. Octopus, tartare, ribeye, rigatoni, brussel sprouts, and mushrooms were all very very good. The steak was unbelievable and so tender, really felt like it was melting in my mouth. Chris and the team here do a great job. Can’t wait to do it again!”

“The best octopus in the city with out a doubt and if you stop in ask for Ceasar legit one of the best servers I have ever had so much information on wines and pairings”

“LP the bartender was awesome and makes the best dirty martinis w blue cheese olives and espresso martinis ever. Went for restaurant week. Super yummy. I am full and had to unbutton the pants”

“One of my favorite steakhouses in the city! The vibe is dark and moody, but the servers and bartenders are so warm and inviting! The filet is my go-to and absolutely do not skip the whipped potatoes 🤩 they’re the best thing on the menu!! We celebrated my birthday here and the desserts were absolutely delicious. Compliments to the chef & pastry chef!”
