On vacation for New Years and went to AmEx/Resy for a suggestion. Easy to schedule a reservation for 5, and very flexible when we had to change the reservation due to late flights and delays. Ambiance is immediate. This place is lovely. Really a historic gem that is serene, quiet and classy. The service was exceptional. Carlos was a consummate professional who demonstrated care and candor with us. We even got the requisite selfie with Carlos at the end- thanks Carlos! The food was amazing. Braised beef that melts in your mouth. French onion soup that is a meal in itself. Filet cooked perfectly. Even the “sleeper” on the menu- meatloaf- was exceptional in a flavorful, dark mushroom sauce. Chocolate cake for dessert and we almost needed help getting out to the uber. So full, so satisfied. Prices are more than fair. Thank you Carlos and Chicago Firehouse Restaurant! We will be back!

My husband and I went here on the recommendation form the concierge at our hotel and it did not disappoint! The restaurant itself is beautiful and exactly what we were looking for in a Chicago steak house. It was also beautifully decorated for the holidays. The staff was very friendly and helpful. But the star of the show was to food. My husband had the dry aged steak and he said it was perfectly cooked and delicious. I had their 25th anniversary special which was the braised beef and it was the best meal I have had all year, and we live in San Diego and eat out at least 5 days a week. It was tender and full of flavor served with mashed potatoes, carrots and a delicious sauce. I don’t know if they will always have it since it was a special but if it’s on the menu I highly recommend ordering it. We also had the baby wedge salad, one of the best wedge salads I’ve ever had and the creamed spinach which was very good as well. The last thing to mention was the manhattan that my husband had, he said it was the best manhattan he has ever had. So if you are ever in the area definitely check it out. I will say it is $50-$100 per person depending on what you order but it was definitely worth it! We did not have time, or room in our stomachs for dessert, but I did see the dessert tray and everything looked amazing.

Absolutely incredible experience! We came in to celebrate a milestone, and the staff went above and beyond. The food was exceptional, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere made the night truly memorable. A special shoutout to Shannon, the GM, for making us feel so welcomed and cared for. The steak and the sides were all delicious and perfectly cooked. The desserts we chose were the coconut pie and pumpkin tiramisu. Both were very light and had amazing flavors. Excellent service. I would recommend for a business dinner or a romantic evening.

What a fantastic place to enjoy a nice dinner after a long day. I was in town for work and randomly stopped by here for dinner. The staff was incredible and so energized. They could have easily dismissed me and shoved me into a corner because I was a single diner. Instead they chose to give me a great booth and a fantastic server (Bryan) who was awesome and very attentive. The food was very good as well. Clearly freshly prepared and made to order. The calamari were juicy and tender and the sauces succulent. The burger was perfectly cooked to my liking and expertly plated and presented. I’ll definitely be back and will recommend this place.

We recently provided a photo booth for a wedding at the Chicago Firehouse Restaurant, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. Usually, parking and unloading equipment in Chicago can be quite challenging, but their staff and valet parking team made the process incredibly smooth and stress-free. Everyone was professional, organized, and super accommodating. The venue itself is stunning—full of charm, character, and perfect for weddings or special events. Guests loved the atmosphere, and our photo booth setup fit right in with the elegant space. Highly recommend this venue not only for couples but also for vendors who appreciate a well-coordinated and welcoming environment!

“I absolutely loved my dinner here.”

I absolutely loved my dinner here. Cristena was our waitress and provided the best energy and attitude. She gave excellent recommendations and had this positive, happy energy. The food was top tier. I got lobster bisque and it was amazing. The calamari appetizer was perfection. Their cocktail sauce tastes homemade and has such a great flavor! I woukd absolutely return and highly recommend a visit.

“We came here to celebrate our anniversary recently.”

We came here to celebrate our anniversary recently. We really wanted to try a “new to us” spot in Chicago, and we were not disappointed! Love the personal touches they do for special occasions. Our server and hostess made sure to congratulate us and make us feel welcome. The hospitality was top tier. We got the King Crab (definitely a splurge but so good!) and Lobster Bisque for starters. Then of course we got steak, and you can’t got wrong with any of their sides they had so many options! We enjoyed our entire meal start to finish. I love how for dessert they have a trolley with plates of the actual desserts to choose from instead of looking at the menu. Of course had to get the crème brulee with the shortbread cookies- out of this world. They brought out complimentary champagne and mango sorbet with our dessert which was a special touch. While we were there our wedding song was playing which was just the icing on the cake and a happy coincidence. Thank you for everything Chicago Firehouse- you do hospitality right!

“A truly personal experience.”

A truly personal experience! We were warmly welcomed on our Anniversary for dinner and had the most amazing experience! Our waiter Carlos was superb and made sure every aspect of our meal was perfection! We had a preset menu with some of the best of those items we have ever experienced! The dinner rolls were light and dangerously delicious, the lobster bisque was the best lobster anything we've ever had, the wedge salad had the most amazing dressing (and I don't even like blue cheese!), the steaks were cooked beautifully, and our dessert put us over the edge! The servings were generous, nobody could eat it all...wish we could've taken home leftovers. A perfect spot for a special celebration....we loved every moment!
