I have gotten a birthday cake from them every year for 16 years and this year they have outdone themselves so I thought they deserved a good review. We also love all of their other desserts (especially the chocolate pie at Thanksgiving). They are the most certainly the best old-fashioned bakery in the area.

We are so glad we chose Sweet Mandy B’s for our wedding cake. Our guests could not stop raving about how delicious it was. One of the biggest reasons we went with them is that their cakes are moist, flavorful, and truly enjoyable to eat. Many wedding cakes from other vendors can feel dense or heavy, but Sweet Mandy B’s stood out immediately for taste and texture. We ordered a three tier cake with raspberry preserve and vanilla buttercream, and it ended up being one of the best cakes we have ever had. They may offer fewer topping or decoration options than some other bakeries, but the cake itself tastes incredible and is absolutely worth it. Our guests loved it, and we did too. We would happily recommend Sweet Mandy B’s to any couple looking for a wedding cake that tastes as good as it looks.

“Wonderful quality at a great price.”

Wonderful quality at a great price! We ordered a 9" round for our wedding (just to cut and have the first bite together as our venue provided other desserts to the rest of the guests). The team at Sweet Mandy B's was great to work with and matched our wedding crest/design to perfection! Tasted great and was overall a smooth, pleasant process. I would recommend them to anyone else looking for a custom design on a tasty cake. :)

Great desserts! I was in the area so I came here but I will go to the streeterville location going forward since it’s closer to me. The CINNAMON ROLL was amazing. Going on my list of best ones in Chicago! Soo so good. The sugar cookie also great! Just exactly what I look for when I have a sugar cookie with icing. The strawberry cupcake with vanilla icing was amazing too!! I want to come back and try more flavors 😊 but tough since it’s summer and I want to stay bikini ready 😭 I also love the playlist they had going! When I left, an employee made sure to thank me for coming and to have a good day—I appreciated it. The world is crazy and very small gestures help make it easier to keep going. Only feedback I have would be to give the bathroom a little more love. 💕

We are SO happy we had Sweet Many B's make our wedding cake. The tasting cupcakes make it easy for us to chose which flavors we wanted, and the team was so helpful in getting our order confirmed and set up. They absolutely surpassed the inspo pictures I shared, and the cake was perfect!!! We also had a sheet cake with the snickerdoodle cake with vanilla frosting, and our cutting cake was the chocolate cake with vanilla frosting. 10000% recommend going with Sweet Mandy B's!!! All of our guests loved and raved how good the cake was!

I’ve been coming here for years. This is my favorite bakery in the city, and my family has placed several large orders with them through the years. They are easy to work with and deliver great results every time. They haven’t ever wavered from their recipe, and it shows. The quality is outstanding. Only thought: post-COVID: I miss their lobby.

Wow! Super impressed with Sweet Mandy B’s. I planned a party from out of town for a friend and decided last minute to get a cake. Sweet Mandy B’s was able to get it done even with a weeks lead time, and they really delivered. I sent photos of what I wanted and they managed to replicate it so well! The price was very reasonable for such a well decorated cake. Flavor wise the cake was good, but the star was the yellow cake cupcakes. Moist delicious truly incredible. They also delivered everything which made it easy. Overall would absolutely order from them again for a party.

“These brownies are....”

These brownies are..... painfully good. Like, I literally don't know how they are so good!!! The cookie one is especially top notch, I highly recommend - and remarkably affordable too, at around $5/brownie! One is enough for probably 3-4 people, because they're so delectably rich.
