Love this place been coming to this bakery since I was a little kid but since I moved to Texas I miss it every day definitely recommend las conchas and donuts.
Cash only bakery worth every penny There’s literally nothing bad to try here, you cannot go wrong (Pan dulce is a personal favorite).

Honestly the pictures looked better than it tasted. Upon entering you see the sign for cash only- no biggie. Fine with me. When you walk in no one is at the front, you’re not greeted. You get your blue tray place your bread and walk to the front. After a few minutes a women comes- no greeting whatsoever. She rings us up and in Spanish states $10.07. Compared to Mexican bread in Cali the price was great for all the bread we got. I know I’m spoiled southern Cali girl here but if you’re ever in San Diego- Panchita’s bakery is a must. The taste of the bread I give it a 7/10 Service 1/10.

Quality pan dulce that's always fresh and flavorful. The conchas are the best around. Moved out of the area and have tried many bakeries across Chicago, but I always come back here. There's only one Panaderia La Central.. other locations using same name do not come close.

The best panaderia eveeeeer! We no longer live in the city and still come out from the 'burbs' just to have THIS BREAD. We buy at least 2 big white bags of bread. Nothing compares. Wonderful childhood memories coming to this bakery, and now I bring my children here for pan dulce!! You won't be disappointed.
