Swift Tavern - Wrigleyville — american in Lakeview; the Mashed Potatoes is the highlight. Strong pours and a bartender who takes pride in the work. "The oysters were a real highlight — fresh, flavorful, and easily some of the best I’ve had" — Alex George

Even though the restaurant was extremely busy, the server remained attentive and made sure our needs were met, which really stood out. The food overall was excellent, with every dish tasting fresh and well-prepared. The non-alcoholic drinks were especially impressive — refreshing, creative, and perfectly paired with the meal. The atmosphere was lively and fun, made even better by the cheers coming from the stadium across the street while the game played on their big screens inside. It created such a unique energy, combining the feel of being at the ballpark with the comfort of dining out. The place itself is beautiful, spacious, and well-designed, making it a fantastic spot for both casual outings and special occasions. Service was not only friendly but also efficient, even with the crowd. The oysters were a real highlight — fresh, flavorful, and easily some of the best I’ve had. Altogether, it’s an outstanding spot right by the ballpark, perfect for sports fans and food lovers alike.

“The restaurant had a great atmosphere.”
The restaurant had a great atmosphere. I went during a K-pop concert, and they had themed specials and were playing K-pop music. Also, the service was quick and very thorough.

Was recently here for the red sox v cubs series, GO CUBS GO and to have wrigley as the window view? Perfection at its finest. Stopped in here with the bf to grab a bite to eat before the gates opened, he ordered the cheese curds (BOOOO GREEN BAY SUCKS) but these curds were phenomenal, and I just got a side of mac n cheese which I try mac everywhere I go, DELICIOUS. Both were incredible, and the service was great. I know they were getting swarmed with a cubs home game but our bartender was killing it. She was busy nonstop and made the time to chat and ask if everything was okay for us/needed another drink and all that sort.. anyway this place is great, highly recommend if you're in Wrigleyville! Also the bathrooms are incredibly clean 10/10 will come back when in the area

I had the crispy rock shrimp for a starter and they were fantastic. The sauce that came with them was very good. For the main course I got the steak frites and they were easily the most tender steak I've ever had. Very very good! The staff was very attentive too and friendly. Highly recommend.

“Checked out this place through restaurant week.”
Checked out this place through restaurant week. The service was great, and so was the atmosphere. The massize windows gave an amazing view and of wrigleyfield. I went with a few friends so we got to try everything. The potato soup did not disappoint!!! The NY strip was okay but the butter on top was fire and so were the frites. The roasted chicken with fresh spaetzle was delish. We all loved the shaved squash salad. As for the desserts, the two favs were vanilla and raspberry vienetta and the orange scented buñuelo.

The wedge Caesar salad was really good I added steak which I don't think was steak but maybe more of a short rib? Regardless, delicious. My drink was Tis The Season and it was great. The bolognese was also top notch!

“First and foremost, shoutout to our waiter Peter.”
First and foremost, shoutout to our waiter Peter! An amazing server who attended us with such patience and great care. He was willing to bring us anything we asked for and had the BEST attitude. The Mac and cheese was by far the best dish there! The BEST Mac and cheese I’ve had from any restaurant— and for the price it is SO worth it. I was also VERY pleasantly surprised by the fries. They were crunchy on the outside and super soft on the inside with good seasoning! The steak was cooked to perfection very tender and good— not fatty at all. The ribs were very good. The sauce it had went very good with the ribs themselves. The meat fell off the bone pretty easily, not too tender tho. If I were to return I would pass on the grilled chicken sandwich as the avocado, sauce, arugula and bread went good together but the chicken itself kind of lacked flavor and grossed me out by the end. Asking for hot sauce was the move as it made the sandwich have more flavor. The Tis the season drink was pretty bland— tasted like watered down cranberry juice. You couldn’t even taste the alcohol, very bland so wouldn’t recommend getting that. However I would recommend getting the cherryontop as you can taste the tequila but also enjoy the drink itself. The tajin rim is the best add on. Overall this place is worth the price and for most of the items you can’t go wrong! (Just beware of the grilled chicken) If I’m in the area again will definitely know how to eat here.

“Food was great but the steak was a little over cooked.”
Food was great but the steak was a little over cooked. We had also ordered oysters and they had forgotten them. I have had them other times and they are very good! The mashed potatoes were heavenly. So smooth and creamy. The Mac and cheese was good but a little runny.

On a quiet, rainy afternoon, I decided to check out Swift & Sons Tavern to decompress and treat myself to a meal. Brought myself a salad and chilled over a carafe of water and was pleasantly surprised by not only the portions for the price but exceptional service. Lovely establishment with delicious drinks, will definitely be back soon!

Stopped in after the Cubs game to enjoy some food and let the crowd thin out before catching the train back to the city. They were extremely busy but the server was attentive to our needs. French onion soup and the rigatoni were excellent! Will definitely come back next time I’m in Wrigleyville!

Been here a few times. Service and atmosphere is great, food is okay. I prefer their lunch menu over the brunch one.
