“this has become a Chicago staple, don’t forget your milkshake after to wash it all down”

“Super convenient, family & kid-friendly stop for simple, well-executed burgers, fries, shakes, and more. It offers a charming balance of low-brow culinary nostalgia that feels elevated or playful enough for adventurous foodies. Aside from the obvious crowd-pleasing burgers and golden fries, I highly recommend grabbing a boozy vanilla milkshake for the adults juggling multiple kids or the generously portioned chicken tenders for anyone wanting something other than a burger.”

“Quick service, delicious selections and very accommodating to add the whipped cream on my chocolate strawberry shake, but did forget the 2 garlic aïoli sauces.”

“I've been wanting to stop here for a while. Finally made it. Glad I did! Very nice neat clean efficient place! Great place to have a lunch or do a little afternoon work on the laptop and grab a bite or a beer. Has a huge outside area. Can't wait to go in the summer and sit out. Here's some photos. Can't wait to get back again!”

“The concept of this place was spectacular. It looks like a fast-food spot, but it actually tastes like a real restaurant. My boyfriend and I ordered a double cheeseburger with extra cheese, fries with sauces — one truffle cheese and the other white cheese — and a lemonade. Honestly, everything was incredible. The vibe was super chill but delicious. Our food came out really fast, and I left 100% in love with this place”

“A must stop if you’re ever in Chicago. Great food, design, music, and staff”

“Solid place for burgers. Not too pricey. The burger wasn’t necessarily a standout for me, but the fries and garlic aioli combo was amazing. Perfectly fine for a quick solo meal or a casual meetup with friends”

“End of the night the food was served slightly cold. First time here, Usually I go to the one in Wicker Park which seems more local/ low key than this location.”

“I stop here every time I go to Bottom Lounge and it is consistent and doesn't disappoint. The burger just hits all the notes perfectly with pickle, onion, mayo. The fries are the weakest part for me, but they are crisp and fluffy inside. I just never finish an order because I get bored of them before they're gone. The sparrows love them though.”

“I’m so sad the chicken tenders changed again. I loved the previous version that came with 4 instead of 2! My husband likes the burger so we get Small Cheval somewhat often, and those tenders were the only thing I really liked. I’ve gotten the strawberry shake twice and it was different both times, too. The first one seemed to use real strawberries but didn’t have much flavor, and the second one I got was very artificially flavored. We love Hogsalt restaurants so I really want to like this place but it is so inconsistent. Update 6/4/26: thank you for bringing back the better chicken tenders! Also got the cookies and cream concrete and it was very good. My husband’s burger was a bit undercooked, but we did accidentally receive fries so that was a plus 😅”

“Muy ricas hamburguesas aunque para mi gusto la carne estaba un poco quemada y el pan algo seco. El tocino era muy rico y las verduras se sentías frescas, el aderezo de ajo estaba muy rico, tal vez algo fuerte para algunos pero a mí sí me gustó bastante, las papas también eran bastante decentes. El tren cruzando constantemente era un poco molesto para platicar pero soportable”
