Very authentic taste and quick service. No bathroom or indoor seating (outdoor seating only), and they do not accept cash. I recommend this spot and I would return to eat here again.

Ordered here on break just to try out and was not disappointed in the least. We ordered two Italian beefs, and they had that classic chicago taste. Not too oily, dipped and juicy, tender beef and plenty of it. We got the sweet and got peppers on top with the perfect amount of crunch. We ordered fries, and they were nice enough to give us two orders and even a complimentary cup of cheese. I dropped some oil on my pants, and the cook even came out to the outdoor pation (which has decent seating and is very clean) with a de-greaser to save my pants! Good food, decent pricing, really amazing staff.

Bravo to team Haymarket and the City of Chicago for bringing this establishment to light. As a neighbor and a volunteer, I'm happy to see that recovering patients have the opportunity to work and provide affordable food for the community in a neighborhood that is not so affordable. Win-Win if you ask me! So far, I've had the Chicago dog and the crinkle cut fries, which were delicious. I will be returning!

Love this place love the food love the manager, but whoever the woman is in there is very rude not friendly hung up on me when I called to ask a question then when I got there very rude doesn’t say hello. Put my bag on the counter when it was done and didn’t say thank you here’s your food nothing.

Truly unbeatable price, I can’t believe it. Everything was excellent. Great and friendly service and accommodating my friend that brought a different bread due to allergy. Best hot dog i’ve had downtown, I will definitely be back!

The exact restaurant this area needed. Been coming here for about a year since they opened and it is the perfect no frills Chicago dog spot. Staff is always incredibly warm and welcoming and the food is great. If you are in the west loop and want a true Chicago hotdog this is the spot. Also the burgers, tamales and other items are good as well.

We'd never had an Italian beef and were excited to finally try one. After checking out the WNDR Museum, we saw that Mac's was just a few blocks away, so we made the trek over.The moment we walked in, everyone greeted us with genuine smiles. We ordered a couple Italian beefs, and then they hit us with the question: "You want 'em dipped?" I told them we had never eaten an Italian beef. That we were from Minnesota and to just make them however they usually do. Without missing a beat, they said "we gotchu" with a grin. What arrived were two glorious, tender beef sandwiches bathed in au jus with melted cheese and hot peppers on top. Let me tell you—I'm a stickler when it comes to quality meat, and Mac's absolutely crushes it. But here's where it gets even better. While we were eating, the lady behind the counter—Angelia, if my memory serves—brought us over some cheese fries on the house. My son's face lit up. The whole time we ate, patrons came and went. Some just stopped by to say hello to the staff. It felt less like a restaurant and more like a neighborhood hangout where everyone's welcome.
