Ragadan
Ragadan — Uptown american where the burgers sets the tone. Old-school in the best sense, with zero pretense. Creative without being gimmicky, and owner on site. "The patty was smashed thin and fried on the griddle until it was crispy at the edges yet still juicy within" — Christina Huynh [$]

“Favorite burger I’ve had in a lonnnngggg time, not super overcooked which I feel like happens a lot. Solid shake and falafel too.”

“RAGADAN, oh how i love you <3 please never leave i order this salad literally every week of my life, it’s always heaping with so many good fresh toppings and u can’t get one like it anywhere in the city. staff is very kind too”

“So so good and great prices! The classic deluxe burger really hits the spot and the baklava milkshake is amazing!!! I just finished it and I’m already fantasizing about when I’ll go back to get another. The combo sauce is also DELISH! The staff are super friendly and nice too. Great local spot.”

“For the last two years since I first stepped into Ragadan, it has been the #1 place I recommend to people looking for incredible (perhaps underrated / hidden gem) restaurants in Chicago. I have worked my way through most of the menu and everything is so fresh, flavorful, and the best in its category. From the burgers, falafel, salads, and milkshakes... They're literally all the best you'll find of any of those things in the city. Recommendations: falafel in any form, Ragadan salad, soups, and the burgers are all must tries ASAP. The milkshakes are the best I've had in my adult life and are thick and decadent with unique flavors (e.g. pistachio, baklava). Since it's located on Broadway close to the Salvation Army, I like to sometimes combine the two as a treat :) 11/10 stars!”

“We loved their stuffed falafel pocket and chicken kaak sandwich! Delicious and savory. Good price. This place is a neighborhood gem”

“Absolutely amazing, the patty melt is one of the best burgers in Chicago. Also some of the best falafel I've had in Chicago. Fast, tasty, and reasonably priced.”

“the food is so amazing i love the rolls they use for falafel <33 and the lentil soup is gorg we’ll be back”

“We ordered a beef kefta in a pita and the Oklahoma burger. Everything was delicious!! And some of the best fries I’ve had in Chicago. Great sauce options as well. Will definitely be going back.”
