“My husband and I had such a good time here.”
My husband and I had such a good time here. Outstanding service and cozy/welcoming environment. Felt like I was enjoying food in my aunt and uncle’s kitchen. Food was delicious and fresh. Can’t wait to come back soon and try the mole.

Awesome spot. A lot of great options and very good prices. Service was amazing, everyone was very friendly. Their complimentary soup was great and reminded me of my mom's caldo. Definitely recommend the chilaquiles con carne 😋👌🏽they make their own chips and it really adds that extra hint of flavor. Their house made salsa is also very good 👍🏽 Will definitely be coming back for more. They are definitely going on my list of favorite breakfast spots 🏆🍳

“Delicious, cash only spot.”
Delicious, cash only spot. My family of five stopped for a breakfast bite at 9:30 a.m. Two adults, two kids 5 and 7, and an infant. We sat comfortably at the tabletop counter. We ordered three tasty hot chocolates (Swiss miss with mini- marshmallows), coffee (nice and bold), and two bottled water. Our breakfast order included chilaquiles ( requested with only onion and cheese + made with fried corn tortillas, just like I like 'em), pancake special (split for my kids), a concha, and chorizo con huevo, with corn tortillas and rice and beans. All the food was hot and so good. The pancakes were especially fluffy. We will definitely return. They have a bathroom, that we didn't use but saw. They also offered us a complimentary soup but we declined. Definitely go hungry for this local gem will have many delicious options for you.

“Places like all over Chicago are disappearing and even more so in Pilsen.”
Places like all over Chicago are disappearing and even more so in Pilsen. The salsa was divine! All flavor and just a tad spicy on the tongue. I wanted to drink it. Food was good but I would come back for the staff. Attentive, sweet, and downright Chicagon to boot! Glad to see the war of gentrification hasn’t gotten to this place. This is the type of place where you would go by yourself or up 2 other people. Quick simple and cheap. Next time the French toast! Quick note, take bus and train to get here and stay in neighborhood for a couple of hours.

“What can I say that hasn't been said already.”
What can I say that hasn't been said already. This place is a gem and I can't believe I never set foot in here bc I always thought it was a corner store. These people are salt of the earth. The food is as close to home cooking as you'll get. The best part was hearing this older bald guy say the storm outside messed up his hair. These are the kind of places disappearing in pilsen. That's what breaks my heart.

“Great little place.”
Great little place! Coffee is not the greatest but the food makes up for it.
