“Excellent place to go for brunch. The food is amazing! I'd imagine that dinner is awesome as well! Brunch update April 2026. Drinks were perfectly balanced, food was amazing. Still love this place”

“Mesler Kitchen Bar Lounge is a gem within SOPHY Hotel. It really complements the entire experience if you're staying there. The restaurant's manager, Debbie was so warm and welcoming, and their server Maurice was so fun to be around and provided outstanding service. I'll absolutely be requesting him on my next visit. The atmosphere is sophisticated yet has such a fun vibe, and the food quality matches the service excellence. By far my favorite place for deviled eggs and truffle fries. And their stack of hot, buttery pancakes was very the reason I wanted to dine there in the first place! Highly recommend for both hotel guests and Hyde Park locals looking for a dining experience that's elevated and filled with high-energy!”

“I’ve been to Mesler Kitchen several times now and have loved the vibes. Billy, the bartender, is great - makes great cocktails, mad cool, fast! I def will be back! Food was good as well! They treated my party so well! Had a great time on my bday!”

“A nice, relaxed environment to come, chill, and enjoy good conversation over wine and drinks. Our server checked on us several times and was very attentive.”

“Great ambience, good food... Cozy and chic... Ideally for meeting friends. A few cocktails and much more...”

“Pricey but good. The french toast was really good. Steak and eggs good too. Overall great service. Conveniently located in the sophy”

“Mesler Kitchen Bar Lounge is a beautiful space tucked inside a nice hotel in Hyde Park. We stopped by for breakfast and the atmosphere was quiet and peaceful which was perfect to start the day. The food did not disappoint: the pancakes were flavorful, the cheese eggs were tasty and the burger was really nice. Overall is a was a nice solid brunch and one i would have again. The space itself has a cozy and welcoming vibe and I really enjoyed the experience. Service was good as well. Our server was attentive, accommodating, and made sure we had everything we needed. Mesler is definitely going on my list of go to spots for both great vibes and good food! I will be back to try other things off the menu.”

“Heard a lot about this operation and decide to stop by for happy. Here's the catch, the happy hour menu only pertains to a few selections of alcoholic beverages, however, all other food menu items are at the regular price for the happy hour, quite interesting. In addition to this the server, never mentioned his name, and was clearly overwhelmed due to the number of tables that they were servicing. The server mumbled and talked with his back towards the guest at all times, very potentious, and as a matter of fact, in service style. Could care less and in fact, had 0 compassion as related to service. Had a glass of white wine from the happy hour menu, yet decided on no food. The atmosphere and ambience were stellar, however, the service and the happy hour menu was not what was expected. FOOD, NA ATMOSPHERE, A SERVICE, F TASTE, NA”

“We stayed at the Sophy Hotel and had always thought Mesler looked inviting. The atmosphere is lovely, but the experience was disappointing. For a restaurant of this caliber, we only saw our server twice before receiving the check. We ordered two drinks, two appetizers, and two entrees. The drinks were excellent and arrived quickly, but the appetizers (soup and calamari) took nearly 25 minutes and were served with one of the entrees. The soup had developed a film, and the calamari was cold. Every dish from the kitchen was brought by someone other than our server, and the second entree arrived more than five minutes later. When the server finally returned, we asked for water and were given a bottle to pour ourselves. We also noticed a staff member with long hair combing it in the service area, which was concerning. The food was very good and could have been excellent if served properly. The manager was gracious and understanding, but overall, the service issues prevent me from recommending this restaurant.”
