The shakshuka and burger was so tasty! We also tried the cheese curds, they were unique not as traditional as I’ve tried before but very light and cheesy. I wish there was more in the portion. Prices are a bit high but we left satisfied and would return.

A cozy yet lively neighborhood spot serving hearty Midwestern plates - standouts included the chewy cheese curds, earthy maitake mushrooms, and the Michigan burger, with an unexpectedly sweet flavor but still very delicious. Our server Veronica was warm and playful and made the experience all the more enjoyable. A lovely visit and will definitely return for more!

“Amazing experience!”

Amazing experience!! I had initially checked for brunch reservations on my birthday and there weren't any. I tried my luck sending them an email and the owner TJ, immediately reached out via text to coordinate. He was able to squeeze me and my group in for a brunch spot around 11AM, which was gracious of him given how busy they are on weekends. The food was delicious of course!! We got the cheese curds that are a must-try, and a variety of mains like the Pimento sandwich, French toast, smoked salmon sandwich and the shakshuka, and finally some creme brulee and the vanilla bean gelato for dessert. All were delicious. What was even better was that their team brought me a birthday gift -a jar of honey- and a candle, and comped a few items from our final bill, which I didn't expect at all!! All in all, a must visit spot, beautiful ambience, great food and service, no wonder it's booked out most of the time.

Stopped in to meet some friends for a drink based on location, bar seats available, and cheese curds. We were pleasantly surprised by the creativity and complexity of the cocktail menu and the bottle selection behind the bar. Turned out this was a great place to show off Chicago/midwest to European visitors. Seemed like most of the spirits are Chicago-area distilleries which was nice. Attentive bartenders, great cheese curds, good vibe...happy we were here.

Just a really lovely experience at Farm Bar Lakeview. Service was friendly and attentive. Cheese curds, pork ragu and half-roasted chicken were all fantastic. Quite possibly the best meal I’ve had this year. I’d happily return!

“A True 5 -Star tavern.”

A True 5 -Star tavern. We enjoyed a great dinner here last night. The atmosphere and staff were great. But the food was the star. I had the Michigan burger and it was absolutely delicious. The fries that accompanied that were excellent too. My wife had the maitake mushroom dinner and it was cooked to perfection. The food here is just fabulous. The proprietor TJ stopped by to chat and I love the connection to their farm and local foods. We can’t wait to go back. Pt2: we went back for Saturday afternoon brunch. It was really great! I had the chicken and biscuits with a fried egg and sausage gravy, my wife had the Chilaquiles and our son had the chicken sandwich. Everybody really enjoyed their meals and the service again was outstanding.

We went here for restaurant week and had an absolutely incredible experience. Our server was friendly and super helpful with celiac allergies. She even went to the kitchen to double check everything for us. All of the food we had was so delicious. Can’t wait to come back and try more of their menu!
