“One word: Exceptional.”

One word: Exceptional. Everything was amazing. The food was innovative and surprising. The staff were very well versed, knowledgeable, and very charismatic. The wine pairings were perfect.The atmosphere was relaxing. The only downside is that I can't give them more than 5 stars. I would highly recommend Alinea to anyone. It is worth every penny.

An absolutely amazing experience. I would highly recommend you go as a group to get full advantage of what they offer. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience for most. Food was out of this world and so unique. The experience was even better. Definitely a special occasion type place.

“Wow, our experience at Alinea was just awe-inspiring and hard to describe.”

Wow, our experience at Alinea was just awe-inspiring and hard to describe. My husband and I are lucky enough to have also been to the Inn at Little Washington and this was an entirely different experience. I booked seats in the Salon because the only seating for the Gallery (9pm) sold out instantly. But wow, what an experience. The unmarked front of the building is so unassuming, but from the moment you enter the dark interior greeted by friendly staff, the sights and experiences do not disappoint. Our 13 courses were a mixture of delicious delicacies and playful or surprising interactions with our food that makes Alinea just an astounding place. We were even lucky enough to get a visit from Senior Floor Manager, Tyler, right after my husband's favorite course, and Tyler brought us a second helping of the most amazing seafood broth you will ever put in your mouth!! Excellent service!! And the dessert...If you ever get the chance to visit Alinea, DO NOT HESITATE!!! (Not including too many photos to not spoil the experience).

“Alinea was everything we’d hoped it would be, and so much more.”

Alinea was everything we’d hoped it would be, and so much more. Dramatic, unexpected, and fabulous from start to finish. I can’t remember every name (I left in awe and fullness), but the entire team from our evening in the gallery on Saturday, 10/4, was exceptional. They make the experience everything you’ve heard it to be - attentive, thoughtful, and seamlessly orchestrated. The food was imaginative and exploratory, each course unfolding like a story. The wine pairing is absolutely worth it! Every pour complemented the dishes perfectly and deepened the experience. We hope to return someday, but until then, we’ll be dining out on the memory of this evening for a long, long time.

“What a unique experience.”

What a unique experience. I went knowing almost nothing and I loved how I was constantly surprised by the creativity of the team in how they present the food, combine the flavors and and create a roller coaster experience. Absolutely phenomenal. The entire staff was welcoming and fun. They all had a special flare that they added to each dish. Lots of surprises and whimsy! Highly recommend. Well, worth the money.

“This may be the most exciting meal I’ve ever eaten.”

This may be the most exciting meal I’ve ever eaten. It’s a place where spoilers should not be shared so I’ll withhold much of the experience, but Grant Achatz and his team delivers one of the most extraordinary dining experiences possibly anywhere on the planet. I was able to secure a seat at the Gallery after a last minute cancellation, and while I cannot speak to the experience at the Salon, I would highly encourage trying the Gallery if you are at all fortunate enough to be able to make the reservation. The whole night was an experience straight out of The Menu (except you get to go home at the end of the night). There’s a lot of talk saying Alinea’s not able to top the creativity that they used to be famed for, but if this is your first time and having had the experience before, I would argue it’s worth experiencing for yourself since it would still obviously be a fresh new experience for you. That said, if I ever have the chance, I would personally do this all over again.
