Delicious. Even the initial bread roll and butter was great. On the fancier side and small portions so probably wouldn't go all the time. Came for restaurant Week 2026. I did like that the people bringing the food would tell you what it was, but I couldn't hear what they were saying.

“Boka is here to remind you what dining out should feel like.”
Boka is here to remind you what dining out should feel like. Went in during CRW, expecting the usual hustle, but Boka delivered a masterclass in hospitality from the first greeting to the last crumb. The atmosphere? Effortlessly chic, perfect for a night when you want to feel a little fancy but also cozy and intimate. Cocktails set the tone: the Lady of the Lake was a revelation—crisp, complex, reminding me of that lingering Arak taste profile. My only quibble? A plastic straw in the other drink. Boka, you’re too pretty for that. The course plates were all criminally gorgeous. Roasted beet salad struck such a beautiful balance between earthy and bright, while the cook on scallop was la parfait . Duck Leg Tortelli - Rich, bold, and deeply satisfying. The roasted chicken was a top technique of crispy skin and juicy meat, though the rutabaga side was a bit too sour for my taste. Service was warm, attentive, and refreshingly unpretentious. Sweet touch - dressing up a desert for Bday celebration! Whether you’re a food snob or just hungry, Boka leaves you with a full belly, a happy heart, and a newfound respect for culinary artistry.

“Dropped by Boka as a group to celebrate a birthday.”
Dropped by Boka as a group to celebrate a birthday. We loved it the moment we stepped in until we left. Every single course was well executed, and honestly I have 0 complaints. It got to a point where I was shocked we had more food coming. Loved how extremely accomodating Boka was to our dietary restrictions too :)

“We had the most amazing experience.”
We had the most amazing experience! My young adult children planned this dinner (driving from MI) for my birthday and we will remember it forever. The tasting menu was delicious and the service exceptional. Thank you to the staff for making a core memory for us.it is super pricey but we knew that coming in. Once in a lifetime for us.

“My wife and I took a weekend trip to Chicago as a Christmas gift to each other.”
My wife and I took a weekend trip to Chicago as a Christmas gift to each other. We wanted to go to a Michelin star restaurant and chose Boka. We chose the 8 course tasting menu with wine pairing. It was the most expensive meal I've ever paid for. However, it was also the most incredible meal experience I've ever paid for. The service was incredible. The flavor combinations were amazing as well as surprising. We wanted an "experience" and Boka delivered. A small downside is that this is Chicago. It wasn't the most spacious seating I've ever been in, but pretty understandable for the city. On the upside, the food was art, and being closer to other tables meant you could admire it without looking as weird, lol! Truthfully, their normal menu items are reasonably priced for the quality of everything else. You don't have to go all in like we did. It was a truly one of a kind experience that we will happily do again someday!

“Its has a Michellen star for a reason.”
Its has a Michellen star for a reason! Service was amazing. The food was insanely good. One of the best steak tartar I ever had, and no one could agree which of the three desserts was the best. Next time I will be trying the tasting menu

“Wow, what an incredible meal.”
Wow, what an incredible meal. From the moment we walked in, everything at Boka was top-notch. Every plate that came out was almost too beautiful to eat, but I'm glad we did! The flavors in every dish were just amazing. We started with the caviar and it was the perfect kickoff to the dinner. And I have to say, don't sleep on the chicken dish. I know it sounds simple, but it was genuinely my favorite thing we ordered all night, cooked perfectly. The vibe is great for a special night out, and the cocktails were fantastic. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Everyone was so friendly, and their wine suggestions were spot on, which made the whole experience even better. We had an unforgettable night. Boka is definitely worth it for a special occasion. 5 stars, easily!

“From the moment we stepped into Boka, the experience was nothing short of captivating.”
From the moment we stepped into Boka, the experience was nothing short of captivating. The atmosphere is elegant and intimate, a perfect backdrop for what turned out to be a memorable evening. Our waiter, Fernando, set the tone with his warm and attentive service. He guided us through the menu with genuine care and made every course feel special. Pedro kept our table refreshed and spotless, ensuring our water glasses never went empty while maintaining a subtle, professional presence. Matty was a delightful detail, oriented touch, always making sure our napkins were perfectly folded and the table remained pristine. Kyle added a personable charm, making us feel welcome and cared for throughout the evening. The food itself was simply extraordinary, each dish exceeded expectations with layers of flavor and beautiful presentation. From the first bite to the last, it was a true culinary journey. The wine and cocktail selections paired beautifully, offering something for every palate and enhancing the dishes even further. That said, for a Michelin-starred restaurant, there is still room to elevate the service to match the world-class level of the cuisine. While every member of the team was kind and attentive, a little more refinement and seamless coordination would make the experience absolutely flawless. Overall, Boka shines as a Chicago gem, a place where artistry, creativity, and hospitality come together. We highly recommend it for anyone seeking an unforgettable fine-dining experience, and we look forward to returning again soon.

“Great spot for date nights or special occasions.”
Great spot for date nights or special occasions. Most of the dishes we tried were very good, but the standouts were the sweetbreads, the fish, and the short ribs. The service was excellent, with thoughtful recommendations for wine pairings.

From the time we walked in, until the time we left. Everything was perfect. The service, the dishes on the tasting menu, and that amazing cake at the end. I understand why they continue to receive a Michelin Star every year

“In town for meetings and was recommended to try Boka.”
In town for meetings and was recommended to try Boka. My favorite was the duck of course. Most flavors seemed to lean acidic, sometimes a tad overly acidic but the good far outweighed the bad. Everything was beautifully plated and presented. By the end of the tasting I was truly full, but then there was like 3 kinds of additional desserts! Blew my mind.
