“Absolutely delicious place and top service! We did enjoy every meal!”

“The sticky date cake was hands down one of the best desserts I’ve ever had in my life!! If you go you have to try it. Save room in your stomach - it’s well worth it”

“Hogsalt always hits with consistent, killer food, impeccable service, and lovely ambiance. Smoked Salmon Caesar salad balanced all flavors perfectly and a half was plenty for two. Smoked Pork Ribs were tender and presented beautifully. Pot Pie had a great mix of ingredients with a delectably flakey crust. The Mushroom Casserole is a must. The Sticky Date Cake is probably the best dessert I’ve ever had - soft texture with a crispy topping over super smooth brown sugar vanilla ice cream.”

“Trivoli Tavern is 5 stars all around. The food, service, atmosphere and drinks were 5 stars all around. If I could give a higher rating I would. Me and my husband are from West Virginia and visited Chicago for our wedding anniversary. I will forever be dreaming about the vodka rigatoni and my husband still keeps talking about the steak. Well will most definitely be back. Trivoli you have my heart.”

“A Chicago classic for a reason. Stunning interior and vibe, creates a nice intimate setting for small groups. The craze about the sticky date cake is real—you must try it. Other than that, the food is quite delicious but maybe not worth a long wait or fighting for a reservation.”

“Trivoli Tavern was the highlight of our Chicago trip! We had reservations and were greeted promptly. The restaurant is super cozy with great music and ambiance. There were so many great food options, and we had the rolls, prime rib, caesar salad, and they were all great. But the absolute best part was the sticky date cake, do not skip it! Our waiter was incredibly kind and definitely the best server we had all week.”

“I came in for my birthday dinner, and Trivoli Tavern did not disappoint. The sizzling shrimp scampi came out in a cast iron dish still bubbling — big, beautiful shrimp in this gorgeous garlic butter sauce with herbs and a squeeze of lemon. I used the garlic bread to get every bit of that sauce. No notes. And then, without me even asking, they brought out a complimentary sticky date cake to celebrate my birthday. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare. The food is excellent. The experience is even better. I’ll be back.”

“First time trying this restaurant, and I can honestly say it was a great experience. The atmosphere and food were both amazing, but the service really stood out. Our server, Dan, was incredibly personable and made us feel like he genuinely enjoyed talking with our table instead of just checking in. He recommended adding the spicy sausage to the vodka rigatoni, and it was definitely the right call. We’ll absolutely be coming back, and we’ll be requesting Dan because he made that much of a difference in our dining experience. Overall, it was a great time. I was honestly surprised because a lot of restaurants that get this much hype don’t always live up to it, but this one definitely did.”

“We had an incredible experience here! The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was spot on—perfect for a great night out. What really stood out, though, was the staff. The customer service was amazing from the moment we walked in. It’s rare to find a place that hits the mark on food, vibes, and service all at once. Highly recommend!”

“An absolutely stunning restaurant. One of the best ambiance’s in the whole city. The food never disappoints. Highly recommend the spicy vodka pasta and the sticky date cake - both are classics. I’ve been here several times, and I’m excited to return!”

“An absolute must if you live in Chicago. You’ve probably seen Trivoli Tavern on Instagram, but it’s even better in person. We grabbed an early Saturday reservation and it was perfect—great energy without feeling rushed or overcrowded. Started with rye Old Fashioneds and martinis; the dirty martini was especially good, perfectly balanced and not overly salty. Food-wise, don’t skip the bread rolls. The orecchiette was fantastic—spicy, comforting, and seriously satisfying. The shrimp pasta was also very good, with a richer, more tomato-forward sauce. Dessert sealed the deal: the ice cream and cake were outstanding. A classic Chicago spot that truly lives up to the hype. Perfect for a fun night with friends or an excellent date night.”
