“This was such an incredible omakase experience. The two chefs were so kind and knowledgeable and all of the courses were fresh, delicious and unique. We loved it and highly recommend!”

“Had the most incredible wine dinner and omakase tasting here. 18 courses of the most elevated sushi, flown fresh from Japan and Spain! Oh my! chef Kaze is a genius. Service is impeccable and friendly. Cocktails are off the chart. You need to take your date here to impress! @chicagopescetarian”

“I developed a soybean allergy, amongst many others, as a young adult. After a childhood of growing up on soybeans to say I was devastated was an understatement. I never thought I’d be able to enjoy an omakase experience let alone eat sushi again. I reached out to Omakase Room and Daniel emailed me within a day, immediately putting me at ease. They weren’t just OK with me bringing a bottle of coconut aminos, they’d be willing to supply it themselves and I wouldn’t have to pick and choose between already soy-free items. They would customize the entire experience to accommodate my allergies, and it wasn’t a bother chef was “excited”. What followed was an opportunity to take my partner to the best dining experience he’d ever had, and to do something together neither one of us had even dreamed would be possible. From the very first host my allergies were noted putting me at ease. Chef greeted me with a “are you ready for a soy-free night?” and a smile, and checked in on me throughout the evening. The food was spectacular, my partner and I waking up and immediately having to regale our favourite bites, but the hospitality and willingness to accommodate my disability is truly putting me to tears as I write this. A dream come true I didn’t know I could have, I will absolutely be back and am counting the days.”

“Lives up to the expectations. Every course is so good. Watching the chefs is great. Music, decor, atmosphere has a great vibe.”

“Wow, what an amazing experience. This was my first Omakase experience, and the minute you arrive, you can tell how professional the staff is, and how wonderful of a time you will have. From the food, to the selected food options, the whole dining experience was wondering. The chef was great and explained every meal and how to properly enjoy it. A bit of a sticker shock when it can to the bill, but overall, worth every penny.”

“The best omakase i’ve had. This place deserves some Michelin stars. Its located on the second floor of Sushi San! The staff will walk you upstairs Chefs were very attentive to detail. The entire dinning area is a like a stage. The chefs were very interactive. Reservations required since they have limited spots. Love the pandan coconut drink at the beginning. Very refreshing. Good services. Best quality. Highly recommended.”

“Absolutely unique exquisite experience. I’ve tried many omakase including in Japan but the experience at The Omakase Room was above and beyond. Each course was a masterpiece, highly recommended!”

“I visited the Omakase room a few weeks ago, and I can't stop thinking about it. Everything from the food, to the presentation, to the service was absolutely amazing. I'm already saving up in order to return. Hopefully I can make here at least once a year if not more. The only thing was that I wasn't sure if I was allowed to ask question or not as the room itself was very quiet and the chefs were both so in the zone. We got to take home a menu at the end as well which was really nice because then I can have a reminder of which dishes were my favorites since it was a lot of information to take in overall.”

“My wife and I recently celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary at the Omakase Room. Choosing to spend our special day here was one of the best decisions we made. Chef Shigeru and Chef Michael did a fantastic job at preparing and presenting the food. I was watching them prepare each course and you can tell how meticulous and skillful both of the chefs are. Chef Michael gave thorough explanations on each course with details on how they were prepared. The staff members were professional and attentive which were demonstrated when they were there to clear empty plates, refill waters and clean any spills immediately as needed. At the end of the meal, we were given a menu of the items we ate that night with a handwritten memo congratulating us on our anniversary. Here at the Omakase room, you will receive the high quality of food and excellent service that you pay for. We can't wait to come back with friends next time. Highly recommended!”
