Siam Siam — neighborhood thai in Buffalo Grove. The food tastes like it should, with no compromises. Robbie Daugherty: "Sublte sweetness, cashew present but well balanced, and the beef was very tender"

“The lunch portion was generous, perfect for a hearty meal, and the Thai iced tea complemented the dish well, balancing out the spice”
I would say the taste of the food is good. The quality and quantity has gone down though the prices has gone up.
Unfortunately, the food was flavorless and not even comparable to what I've had at other Thai restaurants.
After eating Tom Yum soup, Crab Rangoon, and Mongolian Beef from this restaurant, both of us became severely and violently ill.

“Wednesday night, walked in to try for the first time.”
Wednesday night, walked in to try for the first time. Only one other table occupied. Music was a bit loud considering. Menu offers a decent amount of choices and some dishes not entirely common at every Thai. We ordered moo ping which was good. The spring rolls were in wraps more like vietnamese rolls versus the crepe-like wrappers normally seen in thai restaurants. Rama chicken was good, as well as fried rice and pad see ewe.

“A few times a year my husband works in Buffalo Grove, IL.”
A few times a year my husband works in Buffalo Grove, IL. It’s Northwest of Chicago. Any time we are traveling I like searching local restaurants. Siam Siam Thai has been on the list for a long time. Stopped in for lunch today. Husband had the Cashew Stir Fry. Definitely a great dish . Sublte sweetness, cashew present but well balanced, and the beef was very tender. My Tom Kha was the best we have had since moving to the Midwest 4 yrs ago. Most places we have eaten Tom Kha since leaving Texas have been watery broth, hardly tasting the coconut milk and not nearly enough spices. Siam Siam hit all the levels today. Lemongrass, galangal root, lime and the coconut milk broth was creamy and with hearty full flavors. I enjoyed the jalapenos slices which were simmered in the broth which bringing the heat down to a place of flavor and not being over powered by spice. The service was quick and the restaurants is very clean. Definitely worth anyone’s time to visit this place!! 🖤🖤

On a work trip and wanted Thai, and this was a quick jump away from the hotel I was staying in. It was a gamble l, but one that paid off. Fantastic food, perfectly seasoned, and the wait staff was amazing as well. I asked for super spicy and it didn't disappoint. If you are in the area, stop ina and enjoy.

“I stopped in while in the area for work.”
I stopped in while in the area for work. I ordered the drunken noodle with chicken and a Thai iced tea. Both were delicious, with the drunken noodle serving up a bold and spicy flavor. It was on the spicier side compared to other places, so if you prefer a milder dish, it might be worth asking to adjust the spice level. The lunch portion was generous, perfect for a hearty meal, and the Thai iced tea complemented the dish well, balancing out the spice. Everything was extremely reasonably priced. Service was excellent—staff were friendly, and the food came out hot and quickly. Overall, a great spot for flavorful Thai food with attentive service.

We ordered Siam Siam for my mother’s birthday and the whole experience was great! Food was ready on time and the staff was incredibly friendly. All of our dishes were hot and tasty, and they even included an extra serving of basil fried rice as a “birthday gift” for my mom. Highly recommend!

“The Tom Kha soup was great.”
The Tom Kha soup was great! The Pad Thai was so flavorful, though I wish they would have added some heat to it. The pork Larb was good and had a nice spice to it. The Thai iced tea and Thai iced coffee were too sweet for me, but my friend loved it! ETA: Went again, and the pad thai was better, the thai iced tea was less sweet, and the server gave us free soup and something like an empanada as an appetizer before food arrived at the table! ETA2: Ordered delivery from them and they brought the food fresh and hot and the delivery person was nice and everything was handled with care! They even gave the appetizer and soup with my lunch orders, so that was cool! It's so much cheaper to order delivery through their site, plus they get the money instead of a third party app like DD or GH. Love this place! Fried rice was great and I got sweet mango and sweet sticky rice for dessert, and that was good too!

WOW! The food is delicious, the restaurant is visually aesthetic, and the prices are unbelievably low. This trifecta led to an impeccably delicious, memorable meal. My favorite item was the BBQ Pork Fried Chicken. I’m not sure if it mentions in the menu that the Basil Duck is noticeably spicy, but it was a great surprise and ended up being very enjoyable to eat.
