“First time trying this local spot. Small storefront with a few tables inside, and some tables and umbrellas outside. Ordered an al pastor bowl and a 3 taco dinner for $25, so not bad at all. Steak was delicious in the taco, charred and flavorful. Chicken was cooked well and the green sauce to add was delicious. Rice and beans weren't an afterthought and were delicious as well. Will definitely be back to try more. Discount for using cash!”

“Fogata tacos on the patio is a vibe. To be clear I ordered the fogata style tacos. 😋”

“Me and hubby went here and HELLO? this place has AMAZING food here. The service is AMAZING, and everyone here is friendly and sociable. I definitely recommend coming here, especially during the love season 🌹 valentine special with my hubby is the way to go!”

“absolutely love this place! The Valentines specials are amazing💕 this the food is amazing, and so are the staff!”

“Delicious, savory, satisfying traditional excellence. Props to this unassuming place for serving some of the best Mexican traditional style food I have had in all of the Chicagoland area. This is as homestyle as it gets, with warm friendly service to boot. Prices are not the same as some old photos posted up from the past- but they make up for it in quantity AND quality!!! There are several tables outside for dining in the sun facing the busy street (Montrose Ave), but you will be enjoying your food so much you won't even care. Steak tacos were perfect as well as the chicken torta. The bread on the torta was perfectly toasted, soft and fresh, and the proportions of everything were more than I expected. The traditional refried beans and rice served on the side were piping hot, tasty, and good proportions as well. My Horchata tasted creamy and sweet, not watered down or overly sugary either. Meat lovers out there, if you are in the mood for an extra big torta, try the signature Fogata Torta -which boasts egg ham AND breaded chicken- dannnng, good luck with that! 😋”

“Good however, they don't do fresh tomato on anything, as in no pico de gallo style salsa.”

“Los precios están excelentes y los tacos al pastor son mi recomendación, aun no pruebo todos los platos pero el sazón es exquisito”

“I don’t recommend this place when the women are there cooking. She burnt my tacos and they are 3.45 per taco. She said her stove is up high so they’re crispy. I gave her the food back and she returned with another taco. Then the second had some grey hair or plastic in it!!! I’m showing a picture of how it looked. Then she said oh that was the leftover meat from the other tacos.”
