This place was an absolute treasure. I was between two sushi spots when looking to try something new, and I’m so glad I landed on Sumi. I ordered a spicy tuna roll, cali roll, and a couple of nigiri which were all beyond amazing. The fish tastes fresh and just melts in your mouth. I loved the texture of everything. I also tried their sesame balls which did not disappoint ! They were warm and not too hot, just perfect. I am obsessed with the sesame balls. Service was very polite and welcoming, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing sushi spot, they had nice piano music in the background that made the experience so much cozier. I will definitely return when I’m in the area.

Sumi Sushi is always delicious and has become a go-to place whenever I'm near Roosevelt/ Museum Campus/ in the South Loop. The service is always great, the prices are very competitive, and the options for the AYCE are diverse and tasty. The portions are on the larger side and certain rolls, like the nigiri, are pretty rice heavy, so plan accordingly when doing AYCE to avoid wasting food/ getting charged for left overs. We've never been denied something we've ordered and haven't been told of a time limit, but we also haven't stayed longer than 2 hours. My personal favorites are the Hamachi Kama (dinner AYCE only), the Shumai, the edamame (huge portion), the Twin Rolls, and really any of the nigiri. The fish quality is very good for the price, and I have never gotten sick or had any fish that seemed anywhere near to "off".

The best sushi place in Chicago. Period. I have been to more than 50 countries and have tried sushi in countless places, and this one stands out the most. At first glance it looks like a simple buffet, but they serve excellent sushi made with high quality fish. The location is right in the heart of Chicago. Everything is always fresh, the staff is kind, and it is usually not crowded at all. I really hope this place becomes even more popular!!

I love this spot. Food is super fresh. Customer service is pretty good. Love, love the specials. I can eat a lot here a couple of times a month. Be careful when ordering all you can eat specials. Don't allow your eyes to be bigger than your stomach. I suggest ordering one thing at a time for all you can eat special. If you can't eat what you ordered, they will charge you $1 per item.

Great place! Ordered the All you can eat menu! Great portions, amazing food. I really enjoyed it. Ordered 3 times and finished it all with 2 orders of mochi ice cream! DELICIOUS! My favorites were the Kani Salad (ordered twice :)) and Angel Rolls! Staff was very friendly and ready to serve us more! It's in a great location too, near other places you can visit and enjoy, bus station. Definitely visit if you're in Chicago!

Came on a Sunday at 1 pm. This is my wife and I’s first time here and we were very impressed. Hands down the best all you can eat sushi in Chicago (I’ve been to 4 others). I’m pretty particular about fish quality and because I love nigiri and no one likes thin cut low quality sushi. For the price the fish was very fresh and not fishy at all! I ordered 3 rolls and 17 orders of various nigiri it was all fantastic! They also have great sweet potato/avocado sub rolls too! I would recommend the “salmon lover” one of the best rolls I’ve had in a while! Thanks to Yang for the excellent service and experience. Me and the wife will be back!

First time here and won’t be the last time here! My daughter and I were originally going to grab some prepackaged sushi from Jewel on Roosevelt. And then, I figured for the price of each individual tray along with traffic headed south being backed up, we’d do better dining at an AYCE. Y’all……this place didn’t disappoint! When I say DELICIOUS, I mean DELICIOUS! There were so many creative options for maki. I can’t recall what we had (see pics) but the goal was to eat it all. Our waiter was pleasant and accommodating. The space is sorta small compared to what we experienced in the past. It was clean, easy access to the bathroom (also clean). Less than 24 hours later, we’re CRAVING going back. I’d throw $80 at Sushi almost every day if I could. Parking is available on the street and of course PAID only. We’re probably going to make this our go-to-spot when in the city.

Sushi was good but not amazing, for all you can eat it was pretty good though! They charge you $1 for every piece you don’t eat so be careful. We got the bridge which was fun

Had the pleasure of dining here with a friend on a Sunday evening. We did the all you can eat Sushi for $30. Very pleased with selection of the menu. Truly something for everyone including dessert. The only downside was the server, he wasn’t friendly at all and there were only 2 other tables of single diners when we were there. Due to the proximity to my home, I will be back.
