“) You have to place your order at the register, and I was glad to see they have several options for people who don't want a seafood bag”
Great place to stop into when in Chicago. The food was amazing, the staff was friendly and helpful.
First timer and it was nice. Service was fast and the food was good. Nice lil spot for a date.
The food was so good and tasty 😋. The service was very good.I enjoyed the vibes very much. Just all around a good time.
So this place is not cheap, but for 2 people we spent 125. We got the double and added mussels.

So this place is not cheap, but for 2 people we spent 125. We got the double and added mussels. We got the number 2 level of heat. I should have done Weak... the cornbread has a hint of spice but it was delicious. So beware I defined will be back.

“Some of the best seafood I’ve had by far.”
Some of the best seafood I’ve had by far. I would suggest eating at the bar, which is an automatic 18% gratuity but definitely worth it. You’re going to want the whole experience if it’s your first time. The bibs and plastic gloves will save you! Great venue for a date or a casual get out with family. The food is plentiful- I ordered the double double and added garlic noodles and crawfish. They ask if you want everything in the bag (do it.). Cornbread looks different but definitely delicious. Dinner for 2 and still enough for both of us to have seconds. Caution: flavors may all have a slight spice/heat. I would recommend mentioning up front if you’re looking for very-low to no spiciness. I Will definitely be making this place a regular stop. They do valet but it’s was suggested by staff that utilizing Uber/Lyft will be more convenient, and you will avoid issues with capacity.

I'm a fan! Came here on a Saturday night and was seated very quickly (no reservations needed.) You have to place your order at the register, and I was glad to see they have several options for people who don't want a seafood bag. I went with the popcorn chicken and fries and enjoyed it. The portions are massive and their lemonade drinks are very legit. Even tho they have a bar, I stuck with my strawberry lemonade for this trip. The price isn't the cheapest, so if you're going for the seafood bag and a drink, expect to drop close to $50 a person. That said I enjoyed everything I tried and would go again

“My favorite crab boil place.”
My favorite crab boil place. No question. It’s very pricey, the atmosphere is just okay but none of that matters when the seafood is fresh and the sauce is delicious. I can’t wait to eat my leftovers.

“This is my second time at Lowcountry and I swear they never doubt.”
This is my second time at Lowcountry and I swear they never doubt. It came down to me taking off the gloves and just diving into this amazing seafood boil. The flavor was perfect with the everything sauce and I highly recommend picking weak or hot. I ended up getting hot and I was very satisfied I felt like anything more would’ve been overpowering but that’s just base on what your spice tolerance is. This place will forever be my favorite spot to get seafood and it has been so far! I should be back real soon thank you Lowcountry!

“Visited Lowcountry of South Loop on my last day in Chicago.”
Visited Lowcountry of South Loop on my last day in Chicago. Ordered the 1LB shrimp plate. In total, the meal was around $35 before tax and tip. The flavor of the sauce and the seafood is delicious. The shrimp tasted fresh and had great texture. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the shrimp were already deveined. Overall I would highly recommend Lowcountry. The meal is a bit pricey, but it is completely reasonable given the high quality seafood.

“I loved the atmosphere of this restaurant.”
I loved the atmosphere of this restaurant! It is “self-serve”, so you go to the register and order your food, then they bring it to the table. All the combos come with cornbread & a drink which is good. I got the shrimp boil bag which came with 1 lb of shrimp, potatoes and corn and I got the house sauce. I also got an order of garlic noodles, fried pickles & beignets. The cornbread is sooooo good. Everything was served super fresh and quick. But, beware, that hot sauce is HOT, lol. I’ll definitely be back!

“Low country is the place to go.”
Low country is the place to go. When my relatives come from out of town the one on Wabash is real nice. I dined at the bar and got half of the drinks I recommended the hurricane to drink and the double and get a bag for 25$ to go.

I loved the idea of sharing a platter with my best friend and perfecting the skill of cracking crab claws, needless to say we were experts by the end of the night. The place has great ambiance and whether you want to spend time with your family, or just chill out with your friend this place is perfect
