Great food, friendly service, reasonably priced, cute atmosphere. A little gem on Addison.

I didn't actually see them pressing fresh, homemade dough for the tortillas on the spot—it seems like they might be pre-made, despite what's advertised. Because we came in for a late dinner, the taco and tamale options were pretty picked over. That being said, everything we did order was still absolutely delicious!

We had the best breakfast today! Joanne was very welcoming and the food was absolutely delicious. We had the tamale pollo salsa verde and chilaquiles with adobada, the taste was unforgettable! We can’t wait to come back !

Delicious food, fresh and flavorful. Amazing tamales and salsa . Tacos are so good. This isn't your average Mexican restaurant. This place sets the standards high with thier ingredients and brings the authentic Mexican flavor to the table.

Delicious casual spot for tamales and tacos. Takeout is popular here but we like to sit at the counter and talk to the owners and watch while they prep the food.

Santa masa Tamaleria is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in the city. Its a drive for sure but it's absolutely worth it. The food is unbelievable and the staff, somehow even better than the food. I would eat here every day if I could. And amazing at gluten free and dairy free

We we're running an errand to the northern Chicago area.. and this place had been on my list for some time... and they did not disappoint! Their tamales made me feel like I was in the streets of Mexico. Great consistency through and through, great flavor, and packed with a good portion of meat. Their tacos we're great as well. Very well served and the fresh hand made tortillas are a game changer. Next time we're in the chicago area I will make sure I reserve some time to stop by for some Tamales to go!

This restaurant is incredible!!! The food is packed with so much flavor. Owner is very nice and personable: he took extra time to explain the food's connection to his family, and this was inspiring to everyone in our party. It even caused one of us to cry while remembering our grandma Socorro. On to specific recommendations: The Santo Taco was amazing!! Every bite is full with savory flavors that just explode in your mouth. The cheese crusted tortilla was a good contrast to the tender meats. The capirotada was the best French toast fusion I have ever had! Bread pudding, salted caramel, orange and banana is a combination I didn't know I needed.

Outstanding all around! I’m at a loss for words because everything was just phenomenal. From the friendly and welcoming service to the comforting and deliciously flavored food, everything was spot on. I cannot wait to come back. We had both specials , the tamal of the month & a barbacoa quesadilla, as well as 1 adobada taco and 1 tinga taco. Flavor was so fresh and incredible! Loved the homemade tortillas. Did I mention I cannot wait to come back? Will be recommending to all my friends. Thank you for the excellent first experience ❤️🫶💕

Randomly found this place on a list of Chicago restaurant recommendations and we decided to check it out. We were immediately greeted and seated, and it took no time for us to make our order and get our drinks. We got to watch them prepare our food and I was salivating! My boyfriend ordered cheese, chicken/green salsa, and chicken/red salsa, while I got the torta de chilaquil (a breakfast sandwich) with chorizo. He loved his tamales and ordered a fourth, and my sandwich was incredible. I ate the whole thing, and it was huge! Couldn’t recommend this place enough. We got there at noon and there were no other customers. This place deserves to be hopping!
