Once you reach the end of the path here from the parking lot, it’s quiet and tranquil amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. Quiet and tranquil is the ideal. ‘Silence, healing’ as Heraclitus said.

Nice little spot in the city for a brief walk. Beautiful Japanese gardens, water, and Koi fish. The main trail was closed off from where we parked so we had to walk all the way around the museum.

A must see. Convenient parking lot close by. The garden is beautiful, peaceful. Nice views of the Museum of Science and Industry and the Obama Library. Lovely native plants in the surrounding park/trails.

Beautiful scenery, I’m so shocked that this is something we can find in Chicago. It is a must see.

I was absolutely blown away by the Garden of the Phoenix. It feels like stepping into a hidden world right in the middle of Chicago. So peaceful, so beautiful — like a little pocket of magic. I could’ve stayed there all day. A must-visit if you need a moment of calm or just want to be surrounded by nature’s beauty. There were tons of birds (I saw cranes and even a Black-crowned Night Heron!), plus koi swimming around in the water. It really felt like a little escape from the city.

Oh it’s so beautiful and serene. Though two big groups were there having picnic and music but there are so many corners to sit and enjoy the beauty of this garden without getting distracted and disturbed I can sit here for hours with a book to read in between. Perfect place for photography too. One should carry something to eat and water Cycling can be fun here. In and around the area is also enchanting.

Tiny, but well-kept japanese garden. Free entry (but closed on Mondays)

The garden itself is amazing. Just wish it was a bit bigger.

The only complaint is have is that it isn't bigger. Also, it is across the water from the construction of the new Obama library, hopefully they dont have to take anymore land from the park for that construction
