“R Public House really came through with their Pancakes of the Week. They were big, fluffy, and honestly just so good. They came with strawberry coulis, a big scoop of ice cream, and fresh peaches on top — simple, but already fire. Of course, I had to put a little razzle-dazzle on it. I added two layers of mixed berry jam with the strawberry coulis, then put apricot jam on the top layer. I made a warm homemade syrup with butter, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and regular syrup, and poured it right over the stack. Perfect. The crazy part is I could’ve eaten the pancakes exactly as they came and still raved about them. If I had whipped cream, I probably would’ve ordered another one for later. If you’re in Rogers Park, definitely try these pancakes. They’re worth it.”
