This place has been on my bucket list ever since I heard about it from a WGN report. Located on Deep Lake,this waterfront cabin like restaurant offers delicious home cooked Polish meals as well as a variety of appetizers, salads,burgers,seafood and a variety of entrees. We went on a Sunday afternoon and were lucky enough to get a table on the patio overlooking the lake. A nice surprise was the complimentary bread and cracker basket . We figured portions would be large do we decided against having an appetizer. My wife had their Sunday special..Roasted Duck with steamed apples and cranberries. Also came with mashed potatoes and a cup of pickle soup I had the breaded pork tenderloin with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes. I had their chicken noodle soup. Everything tastes like your grandmothers recipes and food is served hot and very flavorful. Check their website for hours of operation. If you want fantastic home cooked meals in a beautiful setting, definitely give Reflections a try!

“It's been awhile since I was completely blown away by a restaurant.”

It's been awhile since I was completely blown away by a restaurant. Kathy was our server and was delightful for our entire meal. The restaurant has a wonderful old world feel that puts your body into a total relaxed feeling, the smells, the views of the lake... It's special. We started with the crab cake and Mexican perogi which were both fantastic and unique compared to basic appetizers at most restaurants. Then Kathy walked out our dinners, the polish platter is a must, it captures what this restaurant does best, Polish cuisine at its best. My girlfriend ordered the special broccoli and crab stuffed salmon. This thing was huge! Easily the largest salmon filet we've seen. If you are looking for a good date spot or somewhere to wow your family and friends you have found the place!

“This was my first time here based on a friend's recommendation.”

This was my first time here based on a friend's recommendation. I was not disappointed with his referral. Reflections has a beautiful setting on Deep Lake and the view doesn't stop on the outside of the building. There is so much to see when you enter the building between a very comfortable setting to all of the items on display. When you get past looking around, you can focus on the variety of options on the menu or the friendly attitudes of the staff. The food was very good. Don't forget to check out the "specials board" - 2 of our 3 dishes came from there! A marinated steak with shrimp and stuffed salmon was delicious! I did not order any desserts but I was tempted when I saw how good they looked coming out. Take the time to get to Reflections - you will be glad that you did!

Incredible restaurant next to a lake with a hunting lodge atmosphere and wide selection of food. Run by a Polish family. Like their Polish platter with sausage and piorgi and cabbage roll and kraut and mashed potatoes. The main dining room has an incredible collection of old accordions on wall shelves as well as a small stage. The owner will play Happy birthday for you with one of them. Warning it can be packed and you might want to call and make reservations!

“The food and ambiance was really wonderful.”

The food and ambiance was really wonderful. We'd love to return when the polka music is happening. It was the best kielbasa I've had anywhere and some of the best pierogi I've had as well. It was a real treat. The homemade desserts were awesome too.

“The restaurant has an old European type of decor.”

The restaurant has an old European type of decor. It is a nice place. Right by Deep Lake with a great view of the lake. The service and food are great. We had a meal there recently for my husband's birthday. He loves the roast duck there and I had the cabbage rolls. Both dinners were excellent. We also enjoy the guy who was playing the piano and singing. He does a great job.

“We were invited out to Reflections while we were visiting friends in IL.”

We were invited out to Reflections while we were visiting friends in IL. There are many restraunts to choose from, but we must say we are so glad that we here. First it has that traditional restraunt on a lake. The rustic look inside with views of the lake give it a wonderful charm. A beautiful bar with an awesome bartender by the name of Patty. She made sure we were all taken care of. The food & service was great. You may want to make reservations. Enjoy, We sure did :)

“The view is in the name.”

The view is in the name. The atmosphere and food is perfect for a relaxing afternoon/evening dinner. The staff is welcoming and attentive. The food is traditional and has a homemade presentation and flavor. Generous drinks and fabulous desserts. It's a destination for us. We come from the North side of Chicago to get out in the country and appreciated nature's views and enjoy terrific food.

“Jack and Lidia the owners are wonderful!”

Jack and Lidia the owners are wonderful!! Awesome service and food. Spent some time before we left looking at all the old pictures. That's when Jack approached us to ask how everything was and gave us a little history about Reflections. Best fish fry I've had!! No joke! Soup was delicious and the salad was fresh. Chicken Alfredo was also great. Definitely going back!

We went to this place to celebrate a friend’s birthday and everyone ordered the usual steak and potatoes or pasta. I asked for a real Polish food and the suggested the Polish Sampler. It was pretty good, loved the pickled cabbage and pieroggis with meat stuffing. Quite delicious. The view of the lake was nice and relaxing and the staff were friendly and attentive. We had such a nice meal. Would live to come back if only it’s closer to me.

“The food was amazing.”

The food was amazing! If you like homemade food that taste like it came from your kitchen this is the place to go! Our server was friendly and helpful. At the end of our meal they brought out a HUGE tray of delicious looking desserts all freshly made. We order 3 different desserts and all were fantastic, a chocolate raspberries cake, a creamy vanilla custard type of cake and a tiramisu cake! To our surprise about 4 servers came over to our table and sang happy birthday to my husband when they served our desserts! It’s a warm and welcoming establishment.

Perfect local spot for those who love beautiful views and good food. We adore the zupa ogórkowa and seafood dishes, among other options. Gluten free and other allergies can be accommodated here, staff is very willing to check with BOH. We always do reservations, especially for the porch overlooking Deep Lake but you can call to check if it's needed. It's got a charming European appeal. Hubby proposed on the back porch and we celebrate Homecoming, birthdays, and other family events here.
