We recently tried Khatoon Cuisine for takeout and had a great experience. The food was excellent — we ordered three stews (Gheimeh, Ghormeh, and Fesenjoon), and each one was flavorful, well-prepared, and nicely packaged. You can tell a lot of care goes into the cooking. The ordering process was smooth. I placed the order through their website and followed up with the restaurant directly — they were responsive and helpful. The pickup is fully automated in a shared takeout facility with multiple restaurants. There’s no seating area — it’s strictly for pickup, and we saw a steady flow of people and Uber/DoorDash drivers coming and going. Once your order is ready, it gets placed in a secure cabinet for easy self-pickup. The owner’s daughter handed me the order and was very pleasant. I learned they ran a home kitchen for years before launching this takeout spot about 2.5 months ago. It’s a smart setup and a great way to bring homemade Persian food to more people. Overall, everything from service to flavor to presentation was top-notch. I’ll definitely be ordering from them more often.

It was great! It took like 15 minutes to get ready, and the quality compared to the price was really good. P.s: There is no place to sit, but there is a park (south commons) so close that you can go there.

I’m here to rave about how authentic and delicious everything tasted. We had guests over unfamiliar with our incredible Persian cuisine, and everyone was impressed. There were requests for left overs and we couldn’t be more proud. I’m so glad to this place open in the area. Now we have a place to get my son Ghormehsabzi and gheymeh anytime he wants.

This is the most authentic and best Persian or Iranian food you will find in Chicago. Even better than any Persian food in LA. The food and preparation is so authentic and delicious, it is like a home cooked meal with so much love. Don’t sleep on this gem! We had the ghormeh sabzi tachin, zereshk polo, and dolmeh. All excellent. And they feature foods that are not so common in Persian restaurants in the US. The dolmeh is a proper dolmeh that you know is a family recipe and not from a can or jar. Simply amazing quality.
