Chayhana — solid, no-fuss middle eastern in North Center. Straight from the source, no adjustments. The team can walk you through the menu, and open late. Bill: "The cheese pida was a pleasant surprise, rich with mozzarella and very filling"

“The beef chunk in the soup was perfect, lean with a good sized fat chunk which flavored the soup beautifully”
Since the reviews were so nice we decided to visit this place.
Guys, don't take the cargo here, it's very bad, there's not even a toilet.
This was the second time I was given stale manti and burnt samsa, although I specifically asked for them to be fresh.

“By far the best Central Asian food in the Chicago area.”
By far the best Central Asian food in the Chicago area! Entire menu is authentic. Hearty, delicious food in enormous portions. Handmade noodles, dumplings, and pastries are fantastic. Hot bread, both oven and deep fried (!) served with tons of butter and spicy peppery sauce. Soups are meaty and rich. Strongly recommended. Don’t forget to drink green tea as a traditional palate cleanser after your meal :)

It was my first time visiting Chicago and I wanted to try and compare Uzbekistan food there and in San Francisco where I came from. So, the food was amazing and much cheaper than in SF. I liked the most manty.

“Delicious food, the lagman was very hearty and flavorful.”
Delicious food, the lagman was very hearty and flavorful. The lamb was fork tender, and the noodles were very good. Greek salad was fresh made and tasty. The fried bread shown below was good served warm with tea or coffee, and the honey cake was a nice dessert, not too sweet. Service was efficient. Recommended!

“Great place to try central Asian food.”
Great place to try central Asian food. Everything is handmade and fresh. Loved samsy and borchsh. The pastry of samsy is handmade, chrunchy layers and the filling is juicy full of meat. For the dessert we had hone cake. Must try!
