“I'm always looking for a good mole, something with lots of layers of flavor and not sweet. Mi Tocaya Antojeria is the place. The Chamorro de Puerco en Mole Negro pork shank is a tender hunk of pork drenched in their black mole. What more can you ask for? Everything we ordered was delicious but the mole is what I personally would come back for.”

“This food left me speechless, and that rarely happens. This restaurant was an experience from the first sip to the last bite. Each dish made me wanting more with the most flavor I’ve ever experienced. I truly think that Chef Diana and her team are working magic in the kitchen that brings me back to Mexico. 10/10 would recommend for friends, family, or just yourself”

“Absolutely incredible food down to the guacamole. Everything is prepared with such care. Food allergies are taken incredibly seriously, our new favorite restaurant in the neighborhood.”

“First time, out of towner. Loved the flavor combinations and creativity. All of our dishes were amazing, it was hard to choose a favorite. Our server was great, and the staff were very attentive. Definitely add this to your must try!”

“Went to Mi Tocaya for a birthday/retirement celebration after seeing Chef Davila on a reality TV show. We were not disappointed with the food, everything was fresh and full of flavor. The Amish Chicken with the garlic sauce and bitter greens was my favorite dish of the entire evening. The cocktails/mocktails were balanced and nicely flavored. Chef Davila came to our table and spent a lot of time talking with us and sharing her inspirations around her food - you can really tell that she loves what she does. Service was brisk and succinct, never rude or pushy, we spent 2 hours in the dining room and never felt rushed or that we needed to leave. The only downside is that it is a small dining room and therefore can get quite loud, but we were still able to have a conversation at the table.”

“We knew the chef from her TV show and were curious to try her restaurant. We booked a table at the first opportunity! The menu seems simple, but once we made our choices, we understood why she became famous. We lived in San Luis Potosí for a long time, and I felt like I was back there! Everything was incredibly good; we didn't order a single thing that wasn't a 10/10. The octopus was spectacular, and the enchiladas were too. It was a delight! We loved it.”

“Layers of flavor with every bite. Mi Tocaya Antojeria did not disappoint. Say yes to this spot. Great food, laid back service. I didn’t love that but it was fine. If you’re getting a reservation, ask for a table. We found the stool at the high tops very uncomfortable. Looking forwarding to coming back here. If you want to find and have a whole new respect for Mexican cuisine, this will do it for you.”

“I brought my son here for his birthday, so there were 5 of us, my two boys and my daughter in laws. Walking in I was greeted by the manager who was friendly and welcoming. I made the reservation a week in advance and our time was 9:30. Although they closed at 10:00, we didn't feel rushed at all whatsoever and definitely stayed passed 10:00. This was our first time here and it did not disappoint. I saw Chef Dávila on America's Culinary Cup and loved her cooking so decided to check her place out. She was actually there and came to the table to greet us and have a chat. She is so sweet and down to earth, and it was very nice of her to come say hello. I would describe the food as elevated and of course delicious. The restaurant itself has a fun ambiance with Latin music playing and everyone talking and having fun. It is a small place so if you are looking for a quite more subdued ambiance don't come here lol. We absolutely loved the vibe and will definitely be coming back. Oh and our server Saul was great! He was really funny and made my son's birthday special.”

“Such an interesting menu. Each dish has a story and our waiter helped bring each to life with descriptions and history. It's small and bright with a great vibe! Cute outdoor patio. Margaritas were great. Food was awesome! The carnitas bites were delicious, the salsa was spicy, the mole was amazing.”

“Had an incredible meal at Mitocaya yesterday! Everything was perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. We loved the food and will definitely be back for more.”
