“I’ve always loved velvet taco, but I love that they will get your food to you quickly even when they’re busy. Incredible service!”

“My favourite is their ‘beer battered cauliflower taco’. I tried the fried paneer one too, but the beer battered wins by a huge margin. The cauliflower is crisp and the flavours are bomb! Have gone for it thrice, planning to go couple more times before my trip ends :)”

“The ladies who brunch (clara and emma) met at Velvet Taco to fuel us after pilates and 5 minutes in 100 degree temperatures. We were shocked by the hospitality of the staff Katherine specifically. She welcomed us at the front counter not only with open arms but with a refreshing attitude and glass of water. Thank you Katherine for filling our hearts and stomachs.”

“Let me start by saying I have come in the past and really enjoyed the rotisserie chicken tacos! Today, I decided to go when at 11 to beat the lunch rush and to my surprise found the team cranking out to go orders! Javi and Katherine without a doubt were hustling, I witnessed outstanding team work and communication! The service was above and beyond and neither of them skipped a beat offering to assist me at the counter. Today I got the combo and truly enjoyed the fresh flavors. Queso is addictive and the chicken tacos you cannot go wrong! I am visiting the city for work and this is a great option for lunch.”

“Did not disappoint! The customer service was great and the food was hot and fresh.”

“My taco choices included: Spicy Tikka Chicken, Chicken & Waffle, and the Slow Roasted Angus Brisket. All three came with their own unique flavor that was delicious. I'm a sauce fan and there was plenty to taste in every bite. The queso blanco & chips were fresh and cheesy. The staff were fun and cheerful. The restaurant vibe was chill and calming with some great music playing while I ate upstairs.”

“Chicken tikka taco was bomb and so was chicken and waffle taco. Although, it’s a bit sweet for my taste. The chicken was crisp and full of flavour. Food is always great at Velvet taco, my interaction with the staff was blunt, they need to communicate better. I had to walk upstairs and down 4 times to get the correct code to use ladies room.”

“Very good tacos highly recommended if you are in the area Nice clean place close to loop”

“¡Mi primera parada en Chicago! Nunca me imaginé comer comida mexicana e india al mismo tiempo, pero el Spicy Tikki Chicken vale totalmente la pena — también en bowl. No te olvides de pedir el queso… en serio… ¡no te puedes ir sin probar el queso!”

“Velvet Taco is a creative fast‑casual taco concept that leans heavily into global flavor fusions rather than strict Tex‑Mex tradition. Their menu spans everything from Korean and Indian inspired tacos to Mediterranean and Caribbean takes — which gives them a bit of an edge for vegetarians who want more than just “beans and cheese” tacos. I tried all 3 veggie options ~~ Fried Paneer Taco, Beer Battered Cauliflower Taco, Nashville Hot Tofu taco and was impressed with taste and flavour. Must try , if you are flexible you can definitely leave happily full and satisfied with a different interesting vegetarian version of tacos that go beyond the typical “bean & cheese” approach.”

“Estaba tan bueno que ni pudimos sacar la foto! Super abundantes”
