But not so much that it overwhelmed, but enough to act really good depth of flavor not to mention all of the meat was fresh tender, stunningly flavorful with a great texture and excellent moisture

Taqueria Los Laureles (Inside Store) — one of Rolling Meadows's strongest mexican spots. The recipes feel handed down, not invented. The welcome here is real. "Meat is fresh and seasoned perfectly, only place around that’s doing it like this" — Marshall H. [$]

My first and not last time going to this fresh, authentic Mexican restaurant inside of a grocery store. The lady was so nice helping me with my order and even let me try a little horchata, which was delicious. I had a huge chicken torta that was very flavorful and had plenty of chicken amont other ingredients. It hit the spot! Tender, juicy, and made fresh to order. I also had some amazing rice. As I said to the lady there, til next time for sure. The prices were great, too! If you want the real authenticity, and are a foodie, go here now. Enjoyyy!

Huge tacos in the back of a bodega. Staff were welcoming and friendly. As far as taste goes, exactly what you’d bee looking to find at a taqueria in the back of a bodega. Will be a regular when I’m in town.

This is a taqueria within a small Mexican grocery store. The food is fabulous, the carne asada tacos are delicious but the barbacoa is also excellent, not to mention probably the best carnitas I've ever had outside of Chicago. The barbacoa and carnitas are also available by the pound which is an awesome option. The ambience is very basic, two tables and a few chairs, not pretty but the food is phenomenal and prices are very reasonable.

I truly cannot recommend Taqueria Los Laureles enough. We hired them to cater our daughter Solena’s first birthday, and Johnny made the entire experience so easy from beginning to end. From the first conversation, he gave me his personal cell phone number and was always available whenever I had a question or concern. Being able to simply text him throughout the planning process gave me so much peace of mind, especially while planning a party for over 100 guests. Johnny personally delivered the food, stayed to set everything up, and served our guests himself. He genuinely cared about making sure everything was perfect. I jokingly mentioned that I’m obsessed with spicy food, and he even brought me a special Carolina Reaper hot sauce just because he thought I’d enjoy it. It’s little gestures like that that make you feel like more than just another customer. And the food… absolutely incredible. Every single dish was fresh, authentic, and packed with flavor. Our guests raved about it all afternoon, and we received so many compliments asking where the food came from. We did experience an unexpected issue during our event. What impressed me most wasn’t that something went wrong—because no business is perfect—but how Johnny responded. He personally called us, investigated the issue immediately, took responsibility, showed genuine concern for our family, and worked hard to make things right. That level of integrity and accountability is rare these days. Anyone can provide great food. It’s how a business responds when faced with a difficult situation that truly reveals its character. Johnny treated us with kindness, honesty, and respect every step of the way, and that meant a great deal to our family. If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food and exceptional customer service from someone who truly cares about his customers, Taqueria Los Laureles is the place. Thank you, Johnny, for helping make Solena’s first birthday so special. We will absolutely be back.
