I was a little worried when the taco salad first appeared because the shell was kind of small. However once I took a look at the amount of meat in the salad and the gorgeous pressure avocado on top I knew it would be a good meal. I got the chicken taco salad and my husband got the steak tacos salad. He said that this was easily the most meat he has ever had in a taco salad. Very tasty would recommend and I would order it again.

Absolutely delicious! I got a steak burrito and green and red picaditas. The hibiscus water was very refreshing. Wonderful staff and great family atmosphere. Can’t wait to order again.

“Absolutely loved this restautant.”

Absolutely loved this restautant. From the outside it doesn't look that appealing but once inside the food, service and prices are amazing. We went there on Saturday afternoon and had a great time with my husband, kids and in-laws. Portions are big and very fullfilling. I highly recommend this place.

“Ordered a Carne Asada burrito.”

Ordered a Carne Asada burrito. It came with meat, beans, sour cream, cheese, tomato, onion and lettuce. Meat was minimal while lettuce was plentiful. It was cut in half which I like as burritos can be hard to keep together when uncut. Food came out fast and was presented well. Overall had minimal taste and I would say needed salt and more char on the steak. Even with adding salsa the burrito just wasn't flavorful.

Stopped by here for some authentic tacos, food was good nothing to rave about. The margaritas are way too expensive, tastes like a green popsicle with barely any tequila in them not to mention they are $10 dollars each, oh and they add a $2.50 surcharge on the bill for their convenience. If they are going to add a surcharge everything should have been perfect but it wasn’t. We may return.

“We’ve loved this place for so long.”

We’ve loved this place for so long. We ordered tamales today and feel ripped off. We paid $40 for “tamales”. In each tamale there’s about a quarter sized amount of meat. The rest is a big amount of masa so they look nice and big but it’s all masa. Not worth $40 for 10 tamales. The picture shows you can fit all the meat in one tamale on a regular sized fork.

I hate giving out bad reviews but it’s part of the gig. A bit disappointed from such a highly recommended place. Service is great, atmosphere is great but the food was subpar. I order a steak burrito, meat was hella greasy and no flavor to the steak 3/10. Also order a torta de milanesa, and meat did not hit 3/10. The salsas tasted all from a can. The horchata I ordered is a powdered mix but tastes decent so I give it a 6.5/10. It’ll be very hard for me to come back knowing there’s other better spots in Crystal lake.

I usually don’t post reviews on food but this has to be the worst restaurant I have ever ate. I don’t like to complain but I order a ham torta the full of onion and the bun and ham are like plastic I can’t chew horrible food.
