Taqueria IZTATL — straightforward mexican in Humboldt Park. Order the Tacos. The walls could tell stories. "The bread was a bit mangled but the grilled chicken was very good, rice and beans authentic Mexican style" — Ariel Solare

“if the people who grew up eating Mexican food all their lives love it, its GOT to be good”
Food was delicious 😋 im Mexican but I don't like tacos like that but these were on point 👌 service was very good made me feel like I was in Mexico.
I have tried a LOT of burritos in this area as my company is a few blocks away. Most of them are greasy and meh.
Great food, efficient service, very reasonable pricing.
Best enchiladas verdes ever. I've had my fair share and these were just otherworldly.
Waiting and been waiting for 3 tacos and a quesadilla for over 30 mins.
First time ordering food from here. The food seemed good but had found 3 pieces of glass in one of the tortas.
Bread for the torta was very hard and uneatable - served old and stale bread. Not worth the price.

This was one of those places that you pass by a lot and say you'll check it out one day and when you finally do, you're mad at all the deliciousness you've been missing. Family runned restaurant with good food. This is my go to spot for tacos.

“Made it a point to go here because of other reviews I saw.”
Made it a point to go here because of other reviews I saw. I was not disappointed. The tacos are only $1.99 unless you want the chili rellenos tacos those are $3.25. The food was surprisingly fresh and tasty. I got the taco dinner which consists of three tacos served with rice beans and tortillas. Ask for carne asada or skirt steak it is delicious. The taco dinner is $8.99. We also had a carne asada torta with refried beans, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, avocado and sour cream on it. All of the Torches are $5.50. They give you chips and sauce to start with and I would hold off on eating lot of chips so you do not spoil your appetite for the rest of your mail. The taco dinner is very big and failing. The restaurant is located on Cicero just south of Fullerton Avenue on the west side of the street it's a small place very dive like and sparsely decorated. But, don't let that fool you the food is great. There's about 20 chairs inside the restaurant so you can sit and eat, but a lot of their business is to go. Will have to return here for the al pastor tacos which they are known for. I would have given them a 5-star rating instead of 4 for the food alone, but I did not receive the tortillas with my dinner, which I did not even notice because I was so full, until I was at my home.

Waiting and been waiting for 3 tacos and a quesadilla for over 30 mins. I come at the time they told me to pick up food and admitted to never putting in the order thru to the cooks. Way to waste my time. It’s empty in here but orders get out thru and served BEFORE mine. That’s wack. They don’t want my money clearly.

I have tried a LOT of burritos in this area as my company is a few blocks away. Most of them are greasy and meh. The burrito I had yesterday was absolutely 🔥🔥🔥. Tons of chicken, well put together, not greasy at all, and the flavors all came together. Truly one of the best burritos I’ve had in Chicago. Owners are really nice and the price is great. My new go to!
