¡Orale! This place is the real deal! You must bring cash though!! It was recommended to me and to try their carne asada burrito. Good lord, it’s a meal and there’s plenty of meat to feel full by eating 1/2. So with that being said that should ease the cost of the burrito by being able to get 2 meals out of it. I think it was $12.50 or 15.50 or something close to that. Also I think it’s best served by eating there because you get some chips and 2 salsas at the table. Parking is kinda tough and since they don’t deliver, you must go there!! Remember - cash only!!

This place is a solid 4.5 star restaurant. I’ve rounded up to 5 because I’m a generous human being. The tacos are excellent, my jaws hurt from the chewing but the flavor was worth it. The tortilla seems home made and super fresh. Great steak flavor. Chile relleno was also good, not the best I’ve had but good enough. Chips were too greasy for me but I forced myself to eat all of them. Worth a visit.

Best steak burrito around. Add avocado, it’s even better. I drive 20 mins just for this. Fresh ingredients, mostly steak and massive — could feed 2.

Very good aracherra, salsas are not very good and PRICES are Ridiculously expensive. Not sure that paying for over $20 dollars for a burrito is worth it.

I’ve gone here for years and I can’t believe that I found a bug in my food. Disappointed and disgusted to find this in my food and I hope they clean up and figure it out. But I will no longer be getting my food from this restaurant

Taqueria El Asadero has been one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants for years, and it’s one of those places that never lets us down. Whether we’re ordering tacos, tortas, or anything else on the menu, the food is always fresh, flavorful, and incredibly consistent. The meat is outstanding, the portions are generous, and the prices are more than fair. What really keeps us coming back, though, is the people. Maria is an institution and always greets everyone with such warmth and kindness. It’s the kind of place where they remember your face, your order, and genuinely make you feel like a regular. In a city with so many great restaurants, Taqueria El Asadero has earned its reputation. It’s a neighborhood staple, a Chicago institution, and a perfect example of why supporting locally owned businesses matters. We’re lucky to have it, and we’ll keep coming back for years to come.

Amazing tacos, very authentic. We had the carne asada and the guacamole which was creamy and fresh. We got old school glass bottle cokes too which were delicious and the staff were friendly. Good value too would highly recommend
