“The "cafe the olla" was the perfect way to start my morning (steaming strong black coffe already sweetened) My friend and I ordered chilaquiles verdes (tomatillo sauce)one with fried eggs and one with skirt steak- they both were simply delicious-”

Absolutely amazing food every time! If you're in the Chicago area it's definitely a must but be prepared to wait if you dine in or better yet take it to go either way you're in for a treat!

“Best Chilaquiles in town.”
Best Chilaquiles in town. Drive from Calumet city down here every few months to get my fix. They have 10 different flavors/sauces you can get your chilaquiles in. Don’t forget to get yourself a cafe de olla too.

“This was, by far, one of my favorite stops while in Chicago.”
This was, by far, one of my favorite stops while in Chicago. The place is super small, so the wait can be a little long, but it's absolutely worth it! I had no problem waiting for my chilaquiles! Humble place, humble people who really put a lot of love into their food. 😊 The café de olla is definitely a MUST! It felt like I was eating at abuelita's house.

“Absolutely delicious.”
Absolutely delicious. Please don’t ever change the quality of your food and service!! It’s definitely a small restaurant, but keep in mind it’s family owned. It’ll be worth the wait. A hidden gem indeed!

“I normally don’t post reviews but this was an exception.”
I normally don’t post reviews but this was an exception. The place was very small and crowed but the food was delicious. The service was great considering the girl on the register was attending tables, cleaning and working more than her share. She was great. I had the chilaquiles verdes with carne asada, it came with potatoes and beans. I been to many places where you expect a decent flavor and most of the time it’s disappointing. I have to say this was above my expectations. The food was truly hone made tasting. The cafe de olla was a bit too sweet for my taste but it had lots of flavor. Highly recommend. Can’t wait to try it again! 👍🏽

“Mom and pop restaurant hidden gem in Cicero.”
Mom and pop restaurant hidden gem in Cicero. They offer ten types of salsas for chilaquiles. Everything is made to perfection, and freshly prepared after ordering. Authentic Mexican restaurant feels like you’re eating at your grandmas house. Very cozy, and staff is accommodating ,and friendly. The tampiquena is seasoned well, and tender. The pricing is very reasonable. Must check it out if you want a home cooked delicious meal. Also, offer coffee de la hoya. Sips of greatness.

Loved! This place, it's very small but has great food and a great atmosphere. I brought my children which they're not picky eaters, but they loved it. We'll definitely be coming again. We love the mole chilaquiles the best.

I ordered the green chilaquiles and they come with sour cream cheese and onions, with a side of seasoned potatoes and beans. You can add a side of your choice of meat. I added a piece of carne asada the meat was tender seasoned well and really delicious. Everything was delicious and very fulfilling. You get your bang for your buck honestly. I ordered pickup because the restaurant is really small always crowded and very very busy, usually there's a line of people waiting outside to dine in. My only complaint really was trying to get someone to answer the phone to place my order it's always the issue but other than that the food is delicious and worth the wait and money.
