I like the layout. I prefer sit down vs counter service. The colors were vibrant. This place is overhyped.
No Parking No wait list No room to seat Music is loud!!!. Asada tacos was a NO GO.. meat was hard to even chew it.
I got the huitlacoche quesadilla and two tacos Al pastor.

“We were lucky enough to get in right before the lunch rush.”
We were lucky enough to get in right before the lunch rush. A huge line formed and it was justified. The food is incredible. As a vegetarian I got the squash blossom and corn smut tacos. Amazing. Especially the tortillas. And all the salas were so good. Fast service, super friendly staff.

Everything was so delicious and flavorful. I had the steak torta ….ssssssooo delicious, tacos on the homemade tortillas and the sauces!!!! The different flavors just brought the flavors up to a whole different level!! So Rubi’s!!! Yo girl will be back! The ombience of Rubi’s was very pleasant and family friendly. My boys brought me here for lunch and I enjoyed it ❤️🌮🥙

Very attentive ordering process followed by some delicious tacos and tortas. I'd recommend tacos solely on homemade tortillas. Great seasoning on food! We tried asada, pastor, lengua and estofada and loved them all. Wash them down with an horchata.

Great Food and service. Owner greeted us and explain everything on the menu. Love the decor of the restaurant. All employees very friendly and constantly came to see if we needed anything. Definitely recommend and will be going back. Tacos were on point.

Took my mom for Pozole Thursday and it was absolutely delicious. I had the torta de milanesa de pollo, which was just as amazing. You really can’t go wrong with this spot. The atmosphere is lively and the owners are truly salt-of-the-earth people. I can’t wait to come back and try the menudo. Such an incredible place!

We stopped in for lunch and had Al Pastor, Asada, and Lengua tacos as well as an Elote and Churros. All were amazing and beat all my expectations compared to other places I have tried! Each individual tacos had there own unique and wonderful flavor! So good we ordered one more to go and have later and still enjoyed it's lasting taste! Highly recommend!

“FOOD WAS SO GOOD.”
FOOD WAS SO GOOD! I got the Al pastor which was unbelievable you have to put green salsa on it. The food was so authentic I literally thought I was in Mexico. wonderful mariachi was in the background. Also be sure to get quesadilla the cheese pull in it is so satisfying. Lastly the atmosphere was great love the tablecloths. The only bad thing is that now after trying these all other tacos are gone love this place so much.

OMG….these tacos were so delicious. The steak taco was seasoned well and the chicken taco was juicy. I had the cactus and mushroom taco for the first time, but I didn’t care for them. I’m definitely a meat eater. I found it strange that they didn’t have shrimp tacos. They offered a variety of shared sauces and the seating is shared. Tacos were $6 each and worth it. I usually eat 3 tacos, but I could’ve just ordered 2 and been satisfied. I’ll go back and recommend the place.

This place was perfection! I fell in love with it! The vibes, food, prices, and friendly people made me feel right at home. I did try to come back the next day but they are closed Monday-Wednesday 💔 Next time I am in Chicago I will insist on returning.

“Tacos so good that they will blow the bottom straight out of your ass.”
Tacos so good that they will blow the bottom straight out of your ass. Handmade tortillas, habanero salsa that would make Paula Dean cry, and honestly the best asada I’ve had in all my days of traveling. If you don’t come here to get some with that pickled onion you are missing out on something incredible. Oh and the horchata.
