There's not a lot of good cocktail bars in this neighborhood but Raizes is a bright spot. The cocktails are delicious and affordable with great value food. I really enjoyed the Diablo cocktail and the tacos are delicious and a good portion sized for the price. Highly recommend a stop in!!?

“Such good tacos!”

Such good tacos!! Came here for Taco Tuesday and they are only $4 a piece. The Al Pastor tacos are a standout, with tons of meat and pineapple chunks. My friend got the crispy shrimp taco and loved it. Got a tasty house margarita for only $8 since it was also Happy Hour. Couldn’t ask for a better deal! The vibes are more like a bar, but the food is delicious. I’d also recommend the house guacamole!

“For what it is....it's 5 stars.”

For what it is....it's 5 stars.. Luis does it all, opening just this past August. Trust me and get a cocktail order plus 3 tacos and hear his story. You will liken it to something you saw on Netflix. Support him and his gift to North Center. Open until 10pm 👍 Standby for brunch hours maybe?👍. Plenty of room for bicycle team parking for post ride noshing and drinking. Can't wait to go back.

“What a fantastic little place this is.”

What a fantastic little place this is! They’ve recently changed their name and revamped their concept, but it’s the same owners and the same great tasting food. They’ve added cocktails to their menu and I had a hard time deciding what to order because they all sounded good. My favorites are the spicy watermelon and the al pastor margarita (yes, you read that right…it’s outstanding!). The little details too are what I appreciate. They make almost everything in-house, and the chef repurposes everything he can, even using the rind of the watermelons to make candy. Reasonable prices and a quaint atmosphere. You really can’t go wrong here!

This family owned restaurant gave us a nice experience, The food was so tasty ( They have vegetarian options for the tacos sweet potatoes and cauliflower (I loved it) and the cocktails were unique ( they make their own syrups and dry their own fruit ) The customer service was incredible. We had the opportunity to be attending for Luis that explained to us a little bit about the food, cocktails, and restaurant.

Hibiscus. Flower. Taco. That says it all right there— I didn’t really know what to expect except when I saw this on the menu, but I knew I had to try it. So freaking good! The texture of the flower was like some sort of pulled meat. It tasted amazing and was perfect with the other ingredients. Such a simple and delicious treat. I’ll be back for sure!!
