“Excellent from start to finish!! Ambiance was pleasant and relaxing. The service was very good. Our waitress was so nice and patient. She explained every dish we asked about in detail and the food was even better than expected. The most surprising and most delicious part was the ice cream we had for dessert! The absolute best I’ve ever had - and I’m an ice cream lover!! It homemade and we were only upset we had to get to a show next door that we couldn’t sit and savor it the way it needed. I would go back just for dessert - but of course I’d get food too.”

“Came in for brunch and everything was delicious. The highlight was the nopal galette. The flavor combo was great and it was the perfect size. Surf and Turf Chilaquiles (Shrimp and Chorizo) were delicious. They are the soft texture chilaquiles and the spice level was very mild. Rompope French toast was also very tasty. All in all no misses so far on the current brunch menu.”

“Met a friend here for a light dinner before a concert at Thalia Hall (upstairs, same building) and will definitely be back. Tuna Tostada and Achiote Butter Oysters were standout dishes, the chips and guacamole and asparagus were fine. Tuna Tostada was pleasantly surprisingly easy to split and share and was very distinctive, memorable enough to want to try it again. Same for the Achiote Butter Oysters, which are broiled (not raw) and really flavorful. I'd get those two again, and then a bunch of other small plates. Not as big a fan of the two top tables stacked next to each other, I'd rather sit at the bar next time.”

“I made it my business to stop in this time around while in Chicago. I am definitely a seafood girl so indeed I wanted to try. I was greeted kindly , staff was very pleasant. My friend and I sat at the bar for drinks and light dining. We started with some appetizers and the food was delicious we ended doing a main dish and dessert as well. For starters we had the oysters achiote pretty darn good! You know I love a good camarones a la plancha dish and these were something special!! I love the light kick and tanginess they had to it. For our main we went with the mussels and fries such a good pairing , we loved the sauce that comes with it!!! The drink we were ordering was very refreshing and had egg yolk in and it was tequila based , no longer on menu but it was great! Last we had the cutest white corn macaroon so cute and tasty! Overall we had a really great experience at Maricsos San Pedro , i will definitely be returning such a good spot!”

“Food? Awesome Ambiance? Nice Food again? Stars all across The wait staff was really nice. Really great experience, went for a birthday.”

“Beautiful place and delicious bites, albeit quite pricey. Marg pitchers off happy hour were nearly $80. We were, however, very happy with all that we ordered, tasty and well-executed. Loved the house mignonette for the oysters. The king salmon aguachile, tuna tostada, crab rangoon empanadas, and half roasted chicken were standouts. Fun spot to do share plates with friends. Service could definitely use some work; we had to remind our server about the last plate we ordered, pacing was inconsistent, our plates got removed before we were ready, and then when we were ready to go, we had to track our server down to close-out.”

“Absolutely phenomenal food and service from start to finish. Michelle coursed out our food thoughtfully so like a crescendo of flavors at a pace that maintained the integrity of temperatures and textures. And when the bar was slammed making craft cocktails, she brought us complimentary shots to thank us for the wait. The food runner and wait assistant were also on top of things consistently changing our dishware and refilling water. Its truly hard to pick our favorites. All the dishes were eloquently balanced with flavor and had complex fresh textures. The maitake mushrooms (not pictured) were a table favorite because of their tenderness with a touch of crisp on the smaller fringes. The mussels had a rich and slightly creamy broth, and we were elated it came with BOTH fresh bread and fries. The Sonora octopus dog is a must try unique elevated twist to a Sonoran dessert classic. The mole tamale with duck confit is rich and had nice depth and subtle heat. I recommend sharing everything so you can try it all! Muchas gracias!”

“Fully lived up the expectations, everything was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor.”

“Another excellent restaurant in Pilsen! The tuna tostada probably won best dish, but the octopus Sonoran dog won most interesting bite and something you won't find anywhere else. Our kids loved the plantain tacos so much that we got two orders of them and they ate them all before I would even have one! It is a bit pricy as the sizes are small, but I would say that all of the food was worth it.”

“Last night my fiancé and I went to dinner before a show in Thalia Hall and had an amazing experience. We sat at the bar because seating was fully booked before the show and didn't have to wait for bar seating. We decided to order a bunch of small dishes to try a bunch of items and it was a great decision. We had 5 different dishes and left very happy. I also had the signature Michalada topped with a fresh oyster and it was fantastic! All of the food was extremely fresh and you could tell the food was made with love. We definitely will be back. The one thing I would recommend is putting some type of heating blower just outside of the main front door to prevent blasts of cold air coming in everytime guests are entering and exiting the restaurant. The tables closest to the front door were wearing jackets during dinner service and I heard a couple say how their food was getting cold rather quickly.”

“Loved the experience at Mariscos. Everything we had was delicious and the service was great. Drinks were top notch too (I had a few margaritas). The only thing I’d skip is the truffle churro. That was a really strange way to end the meal. The flan and kiwi lime pie were much better. The beef short rib was a delight but my absolute fave was the snapper ceviche and tuna tostada.”
