Mariscos San Pedro — a Pilsen mexican mainstay. The noise level tells you everything you need to know. Strong bar program alongside the food. Fitsum Samuel: "The tacos were fresh and packed with taste, while the pozole had a comforting, rich depth of flavor"

“The shrimp taco in the taco combo was also amazing, it was done similarly to how it’s done in my favorite taco restaurant Puesto in San Diego and I loved it”
For a place that brands itself as a mariscos spot, the seafood quality was disappointing.

My sister and I did the Omakase, all of the items were good our favorites were the tostada, and the black card. They were so yummy. I got one of their smoothie drinks because I don’t drink. My sister ordered a yellow drink which we both were not fond of. The event was supposed to have started at 6:30, but they weren’t ready so we were kind of waiting in the doorway until we got seated. There was an option to go to the bar, but it didn’t make sense seeing as I wasn’t drinking alcohol that night, other than that, the chefs and the hostess with the Omakase were great, amazing, wonderful, our hostess, Heaven, was that girl. I will come back to try the food served in the restaurant. I hear that food is good too.

I went with some girlfriends and we just ordered a bunch of dishes and we all ate everything. I can’t wait to go back. Not one morsel went uneaten and everything was outstanding. Spend your money here! You won’t regret it.

“My new favorite restaurant.”
My new favorite restaurant. My server Javi (sp?) was welcoming and accommodating to my needs. I was alone and she made me feel seen and checked in on me frequently. All staff from the lovely host, to the service assistant, to the black gentleman (didn't catch his name) who delivered my food from the back of house, were superb. The tuna Tostada was the best I've ever eaten. I also ate the Jerk Sablefish and It was so darn good. I wanted to lick the bowl, but chose not to make a scene 😅

“Some of the best tasting and most creative seafood dishes in the city.”
Some of the best tasting and most creative seafood dishes in the city. There are a few staples like the Octopus Sonoran dog that I get nearly every time, but the frequent seasonal specials make each visit exciting and interesting. Their waitstaff always makes us feel welcomed and remembered as regulars too.

It took me two days to process the wonderful, other worldly experience that was Mariscos San Pedro. I ordered the baja fish tacos, which were cooked to crispy perfection. Surprisingly these three medium sized tacos filled me up which were complimented by the rosé wine. For dessert, I ordered the coconut ice cream, which sealed the deal for the night. As I took each bite, the creamy and sweet taste of the ice cream remained in my mouth until the last bite, which transformed the taste to that of a roasted coconut. This dinner literally rejuvenated my soul within the span of two hours, almost feeling like I went to a spa for an entire day. Next time I go on a date, I plan on bringing here my SO to impress. A++++++

“Chef Antonio and Chef Oliver are incredible.”
Chef Antonio and Chef Oliver are incredible! I had an amazing time at the culinary care cook-off 2025 at this restaurant. It was so much fun and I met such great people! I think this place is a hidden gem in Pilsen. The aesthetics were amazing, and the bar setup was top notch! The drinks were perfectly balanced, with a great mix of taste and alcohol 🍸. I highly recommend this place for a great food and experience.

“Everything was perfect.”
Everything was perfect. Absolutely loved the octopus dog and scallop ceviche. My friends raved about the tacos, especially the shrimp. The room is very well spaced out. Definitely going back.

Located in the former spot known as Dusek’s, adjacent to famed Thalia Hall, this seafood place is a gem in the Pilsen neighborhood. Came in for brunch to try their brunch sando, which is a soft shell crab (ssc) dredged in squid ink (the blackness of the crab is NOT burnt) and fried in a light tempura batter. Its served on a light brioche bun with green curry aioli, tart green salad topping and a sunny-side up egg. The crunch and saltiness of the ssc worked well with the creaminess of the aioli and textural compliment of the leafy greens and soft bun. The bun was nice to sop up the liquid yolk and the ample aioli. Also tried 2 of their cream stuffed donuts from their pastry chef. The aesthetics is extremely pleasing and I had the pistachio filled donut and the other guava. The yeast donut had a gluten starchy texture. The filling was not very sweet which made them very good. The pistachio cream was delicious with hints of salt and the chocolate coating gave it a nice sweetness. The guava cream was nicely tart and fulfilling. I will try these with coffee next time. Lastly, the staff was knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. A definite must try prior to any concert in Thalia Hall.

Incredible experience! The food was out of this world! Truly an elevated menu that will have you wondering how they are able to create the flavors they make in each dish!

This is absolutely the best place to come for flavorful, complex, mouth-watering Mexican seafood in Pilsen. I loved everything I ate and drank for dinner with some friends on a Friday night. We made a reservation, but it wasn’t too busy early in the evening. Menu standouts were the shrimp gobernador tacos (cheesy, crispy, flavorful), grilled shrimp (zesty, well-seasoned), and the whole fish served with fresh tortillas. Service was super friendly and the cocktails were great too!

“Saucy mussels & fries are amazing.”
Saucy mussels & fries are amazing! Mussels are plump and soft, not rubbery at all. We dipped the fresh toasty bread in the divine sauce and packed the leftover sauce home so we can add make a pasta dish for lunch the next day! Tacos trio were good and flavorful as well! 😋
