One of our favorite spots in our neighborhood! Everyone is always so friendly and nice and their food is delicious. Especially, their queso fundido con chorizo and the churros. The best I’ve had. As an update: they have redone their entire and it is so cute and cozy!

Just randomly popped in here for lunch before going grocery shopping. First of all, incredibly tacos. I’ve never been somewhere where they ask you how you like your tripa (I prefer it crispy). I ordered a chorizo taco, tripa, and chile rellenos. All 3 were incredibly good. Before I could leave, the hostess/waitress brought me some French toast on the house because she said they wanted to start serving breakfast and wanted me to try it, and it was also delicious! Definitely will be coming back here at some point, such a nice hidden gem.

This place is a total gem! Incredible food, super friendly staff, and a great atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. The new menu additions are outstanding—both the food and drinks bring exciting new flavors and variety. You can really tell they put thought into every detail. Highly recommend!

Where do I begin… as a local to the area, La Catrina is has been our go to for a while now. The staff is always incredibly friendly, the food is consistently good, and it is a reasonable price! We especially love the queso fundido con chorizo and their tacos!

Such a hidden gem , ordered ceviche from here one time and now it’s our restaurant favorite when it comes to Mexican in the area ! We come around maybe 3 times a month either for food or just a quick drink with some appetizers. Staff is always very welcoming and couldn’t recommend more of such a lowkey spot 🤩

La Catrina is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago! The food is always super yummy — I’ve tried so many things on the menu over the past few years, and everything has been amazing. I’ve been coming here regularly for about three years now, and every visit feels special. I just want to give a huge thank-you to the owners, David and Christina, and to all the staff — they always make us feel so welcome and cared for. You can tell they truly love what they do. Gracias, for not only serving some of the best Mexican food and drinks in the city, but also for creating such a warm, fun atmosphere. Every meal comes with delicious food, great vibes, and lots of laughs. Congrats on building such a beautiful restaurant — you’ve definitely made a loyal customer out of us!

Best authentic Mexican food. Today they gave us a new menu item. French toast! They are updating their menu. Can’t wait to try it this December!

Been here 2 times and each time had a great experience. Customer service is impeccable. I recommend the French toast for breakfast, seriously one of the best French toasts I’ve had! Fur lunch/dinner the quesabirria and enchiladas were delicious. Lots of drink (21+) options as well!
