Reseña en español abajo: La Catedral Cafe Little Village is a fantastic brunch spot! The food is authentic and full of flavor especially the chilaquiles and carne asada. The cozy, colorful vibe makes it feel like home, and the service is top notch. Great value for the price, and perfect for a relaxing meal. Highly recommend! Tucked into the heart of Chicago’s vibrant Little Village neighborhood, La Catedral Cafe is one of those rare finds that instantly makes you feel like a regular even on your first visit. With its vintage style stone exterior and bright red awning, the cafe gives off warm, welcoming vibes before you even step inside. Once inside, you’re greeted by a colorful, snug dining space that balances comfort with a burst of personality. The atmosphere is laid back, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed brunch or a casual midday meal. The menu leans into classic Mexican dishes with a slight European twist, and the execution is impressive. I tried the chilaquiles and was hit with a satisfying mix of crunch, heat, and creaminess topped generously with fresh cheese and crema. Prices range around $10-$20, which feels more than fair given the portion sizes and quality. Service was friendly and fast, even during peak brunch hours. The staff seemed genuinely proud of the food they were serving and it showed. One thing to note: they close at 3 PM, so be sure to come early. It’s clearly a popular brunch destination, and for good reason. Also, there’s wheelchair access, which is always great to see. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, La Catedral Cafe is a cozy, flavorful reminder of why neighborhood spots like this matter. It’s not just a meal, it’s a warm, home-style experience.

Is a great place to enjoy a good breakfast, from yhe moment you walked in you are being transport into a cathedral literally, with all the images and figurines. Great way to pay respect to the religious roots while enjoying an amazing meal. There's a great variety of food options, I decided to go with the birriaquiles as well as the mexchata which is coffee with horchata. Guarantee of a good time at a good price. 10/10 I'll definitely be coming back here.

We came here after some posts on Instagram, we wanted to support the Little Village community given the state of things right now. Best chilaquiles I’ve ever had and the pancakes were super fluffy and perfect. Also, I love the enormous cup of coffee novelty. We definitely will come back!
