While looking for a new mexican restaurant in the area, we stumbled across this gordita spot and it was incredible. We unknowingly came in on $1 wednesday tacos so it was super busy but the service was still very good. The food was all hot and delicous. Overall a great place with a nice vibe.

This is a GREAT hidden gem in West Chicago. The entry to this homesytle restaurant is situated between two bigger buildings, but don’t let that steer you away from trying out their food. The atmosphere reminds me of growing up in Texas and finding grub at the local taqueria. Fresh Aqua Frescas, fresh tortillas, fresh salsas… just the way it should be. They have a list of 20ish gorditas on their menu, but for me, I like their tacos and burritos. The tacos are FILLED with your choice of steak or al pastor so naturally I ordered both. The Al Pastor has the expected sweet pineapple acidity and rich pork flavors. The steak hits your umami palette with a frenzy of crave-ability. The real stunner was the burrito. A cheese roll up with potato and shredded beef in a green sauce. Spicy, tangy, hearty, salty. It was gone in 3 bites but I am already planning my next visit to have 10000 more. Check this place out!

This little gem in West Chicago has the typical Mexican food that everyone loves! The menu is not extensive but what they offer is of great quality and inexpensive. They have the best Gorditas, quesadillas, tacos. But what I am always amazed about the attention staff has to cleanliness! The restaurant is spotless and the kitchen super super clean! Great place to eat at! ( I did not include pics of food since I was picking up)!

Best gorditas, quesadillas, burritos. Super clean. So clean I ran my fingers across the window sill and zero dust. Zero dust. Clean floor,bathrooms, and tables. Plates are not garnished to fool the consumer. They are not greasy, full of flavor. I am the number one complainer in the world! I cannot complain about a delicious clean quesadilla. Anyone “ can” melt cheese. Not everyone can execute a perfect quesadilla and Gordita! Highly recommend

Some of the best and most authentic mexican food I’ve ever had! This place is an absolute gem. The gorditas are extremely delicious and unlike anything you’ll find at most mexican restaurants. They have so many varieties and I love how many vegetarian options they had. Our favorites were asado de puerco (must try), papas con chorizo and carne con rajas. Very reasonably priced. Definitely recommend this place especially in you’re in the surrounding area. We would be regulars if it was closer to us.

I had a good overall experience. The food was fantastic, I tried about 5 different Gorditas and I liked them all. A lot of choices and everything tastes great. Our server was also good and helped us pick items to try. Will definitely be back in the future.

“My new favorite legit Mexican restaurant.”

My new favorite legit Mexican restaurant! The gorditas on hand made corn tortillas are amazing! I also had the "burrito deshebrada verde con mayonesa". It was absolutely delicious. The girl who took my order told me it's her favorite and that she eats one everyday. Cash only, but they have a ATM inside.
