The food was so delicious, I love the salas, chips, and flavor of everything. My favorite was the shrimp tacos, fallowed by the al pastor and the carne Asada. The chips were thin, hot and crispy. The salsas were flavorful, spicy and delicious. The house margarita pitcher was so huge, the four of us got at least three margaritas each out of it. And the margaritas were strong and so delicious. I would come back here 1,000,000% for all of the food and drinks. I loved it so much

Garcia’s has the best tacos in Chicago in my opinion. Corn tortilla, the steak is cooked to perfection, add onions, cilantro and cheese, and you have a slice of heaven on your plate. The refried beans are so good I always double up on the entree. Inside, the dining room is vast with high ceilings, and the place is generally bumping at lunch, after 5pm and the weekends. Great food, friendly service and a fun place to hang out. Highly recommend!

Great food, even better margaritas and friendly service. The wait staff very knowledgeable about their menu. If there are two or more people in your party, order a pitcher of margaritas, it is a better deal and worth it.

Garcia’s in Lincoln Square is always amazing! I’ve had everything on the menu hundreds of times and have never had an issue with the service, food quality, or cleanliness. The moment you walk in, it feels like a true neighborhood Mexican joint. The staff has been here for over 20 years, along with the family that owns the restaurant, which speaks volumes about the consistency and dedication to their craft. My go-to is the carne asada burrito with queso and guacamole, wrapped in a perfectly grilled corn tortilla—absolute perfection! I love supporting a local, family-owned spot that’s deeply rooted in the community and consistently delivers authentic, incredible food. If you're in Lincoln Square, this is a must-visit!

Great food! The service was quick and attentive. The house margarita was delicious and strong, perfect for a group. The food was authentic and came out quick. Tortas were toasted and the meat had a good flavor. The combination plates were huge with great variety. Lots of menu items to choose from, including many beverages. The restaurant was decorated well for the holiday season.

Garcia's Restaurant is the ideal spot for a fun time with friends and family, offering generous portions of Mexican cuisine. The nachos and salsa were a fantastic start, and the strawberry and mango margaritas were perfectly refreshing. The huge grilled chicken burrito and the combination burrito were both delicious, with portions so large we could only finish half. The enchiladas, tortas, and tacos were equally delightful, especially enjoyable on a hot summer evening. Our group had a great time, and the servers were quick, friendly, and professional, enhancing our dining experience.

The best Mexican food in all of Chicagoland. I’ve been coming here for at least 30 years. I’ve tried many Mexican restaurants all over America, nobody comes close to Garcia’s. Their steak is never gritty or fatty, and the flavor is out of this world. Most of the waitstaff have been here for a long time and they are always attentive, friendly and fast. Highly recommended. Two thumbs way up! 👍🏻👍🏻

“This place is amazing.”

This place is amazing! It is heads above your neighborhood burrito place, but just a step down from fine dining. First off, it is always busy. Always. Don’t expect really fast service, but they are all very friendly! Secondly, and most important, you must order the tortilla soup. It is a meal size soup bowl. In fact, I took half of it home! It is huge. It is famous throughout the city, and even written up in the Chicago Tribune. It is the best tortilla soup I’ve ever had in my life, and I travel to Mexico frequently! Anyhow, don’t miss the soup. Enjoy.
