Wonderful place with perfect food and atmosphere. Service is exceptional. Staff is friendly, forthcoming and extremely knowledgeable on any menu item as well as general cuisine recommendations. Cannot recommend this place enough. The food is perfect and the experience leaves a long lasting positive impression.

The food here is really good authentic Mexican food. The portions are great as are the prices. One of my favorite things to get is the gordita de chicharron con chile I highly recommend it. I’ve tried several dishes and this time I had the huarache de asada and was not disappointed. The food is consistently good. The family that runs the restaurant is also super welcoming and friendly. If you support small local family owned businesses this is definitely one to to try.

El Jacalito has the best Tacos in the south side!! The steak Taco is the tastiest Taco I had since I was in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The place is very small and old fashioned. You must get here early if you wanna get a table, since there are only three and a few cafeteria style seating... The food is very consistent every time I been here and that is fantastic. Try the Super Taco, and you will be hook for good.
