Not setting this to 1, mostly because i was eating here before and this is the first time i catch the cooks lacking on their food.
The girl was working very slow even though I called ahead of time and when I got there my food was not ready and I had to wait a long time to get my food and I had called at 9:10.
Editing my review because I have been going here for more than five years and this past year they have been changing negatively.

Absolutely the best place to grab tacos from, & I am not just saying go & get take out. Go inside and sit down, eat em fresh & hot guarantee whenever you think of tacos, this little hidden gem will forever pop up in your head! I always get steak & pork mixed tacos. BOMB!!!!!!!! 2years later and this place is still FYEE!!

Hidden gem! Excellent service, I was greeted like a regular, adviced on what to order with several choices, natural Mexican juices and Waters. And VERY, VERY tasty food! One of my places to look for when I'm around Chicago. Will come back here for sure! The quesadilla mixta with nopales and carne asada, IS to die for! Nice people quiet place. Very recommended

I drove all the way from Evanston to this place today because I was really craving some great Mexican food. I used to live in this neighborhood & there's just nowhere as awesome as this place. Don't be put off by the ambience. Its not a fancy looking place, to put it mildly. You don't want to take a date there you're trying to impress, but if you want the best Mexican in town (that I've found) this is the place! Hands down. I had 7 mares soup today for $13 (nothing -its so cheap for what you're getting) and there's not a whole lot, if anything that costs more than this on the menu.
