This isn’t Greek food and it’s a bit unseasoned. It’s okay if you want a quick breakfast though!
The vibes here are great. Food was alright. Fried were not salty, bland, and just not preferable. Everything was dry.

“It’s a cute little diner with a lovely atmosphere”
Cool diner but their food is really subpar. Apparently they think you ought to toast your own bread.

Grabbed some veggie soup and Greek Spaghetti for dinner on a cold day. Soup was so good and soothing with lots of veggies. This is a good neighbor spot to eat and chill. I always bring my Kindle with me. Their shredded lamb sandwich is amazing.

“Had a fantastic breakfast at Salonica.”
Had a fantastic breakfast at Salonica! I ordered the omelets, fresh orange juice, a breakfast wrap, pickled jalapeños, and waffles — and everything hit the spot. The omelet was fluffy and flavorful, and the wrap was hearty and satisfying. I loved the extra kick from the pickled jalapeños. The waffles were golden, crisp on the outside, soft inside, and just the right amount of sweet. Plus, the fresh-squeezed orange juice was refreshing and bright. Fast, friendly service and a chill, welcoming vibe. Definitely coming back!

“This little place specializes in Greek or Greek inspired dishes and was a great find after spending a day in the city.”
This little place specializes in Greek or Greek inspired dishes and was a great find after spending a day in the city. The prices are quite reasonable, especially for the location. We had the Avgolemono soup, Gyros Plate, Curry Chicken Salad, and the Salonica Omelette. Everything was fantastic, but our favorite dish was the Curry Chicken Salad.

“It was my 1st time ever dining in Salonica Restaurant.”
It was my 1st time ever dining in Salonica Restaurant. This restaurant is nestled in the well known area of Hyde Park in Chicago. It's quaint and it's clean. Closed on Monday, the restaurant offers daily specials of Greek eats and American comfort food. I was there for lunch and enjoyed the Gyros plate with a salad.

“A cosy dine-in with a great variety of dishes, including some greek ones, at good prices.”
A cosy dine-in with a great variety of dishes, including some greek ones, at good prices. Very friendly staff, felt immediately welcome. Great value for money, I enjoyed a lot my Salonica burger after a long walk in the neighborhood. I recommend that, if you are a nerdy tourist like me, you go to the book store nearby (Powell) either before or after you get a warm tummy by Salonica.

Located near the Museum of Science and Industry, this diner is a friendly and homely place nestled in a corner. Food portions were great and amazing service. Ordered the Gyro Platter (meat) and Corned Beef Hash breakfast platter. We were not disappointed! They have an amazing selection of sauces too.

“Stopped by for lunch during the weekend and was very happy we made the choice.”
Stopped by for lunch during the weekend and was very happy we made the choice! Easy walking distance from the science & industry museum, and the nearby bus stop. It’s a cute little diner with a lovely atmosphere. Staff is friendly and service is fast. Food is reasonably priced and generously sized. Everything you could ask for in casual Greek fare. Has a huge menu for breakfast and brunch items too! We tried Nick’s Delight and Souvlaki. Meat was tender and flavorful. They have soup specials each day of the week and the egg lemon soup was fabulous. Definitely check it out if you’re nearby!

“I kept walking by in the morning & seeing their breakfast specials.”
I kept walking by in the morning & seeing their breakfast specials. I finally got the arracheta burrito this morning (to go/take away). It was delicious & did not disappoint!! It was ready when I got there to pick it up, tasty seasonings, no gristle or fat in the meat, and they wrapped it well. I picked it up on my way home....45 min later it was still warm. And what a value!! $6.10 w/tax
