More of the older more mature professional crowd probably from the U of C. So relatively quiet and can usually find a walk in dining-for now. I have mostly gone for happy hour and they currently have an excellent one on Wednesdays. Outdoor seating available as well during warmer months...A very nice classy alternative to Messler and Virtue as far as classy upscale options in Hyde Park area.

I have zero complaints, after a long day at work, I needed a little Me time. And Bar David did not disappoint. The music was the perfect level, the service was great I sat at the bar and a nice gentleman helped me. He helped pair my wine with my meal and it was a splendid time. I WILL be back and tell all my friends! 🫶🏾🫶🏾

The ambience of BarDavid is unmatched. It was my first time at this restaurant, but it won’t be my last. Service was 10 out of 10. Sean, the general manager was a class act, she topped off my experience! I forgot the host, bartender, and my waitress’s name but they also contributed BIG time to this experience. The food was good, looking forward to trying something else next time. The drinks were also really good. Again I can’t remember my first drink by name but the second one was a peach old fashion and I’ve be craving it ever since! (Picture below) Thank you team ☺️. 10/10

“This was my 1st time here.”

This was my 1st time here. Atmosphere was great! Temperature in the room was just right; not too hot nor too cold. Service was great. I really observed great teamwork. The music was very versatile. The Burger as great; needed a bit more seasoning. It was cooked at the desired temperature that I asked. But, salt and pepper is more my speed. I love that the server asked me did I have any allergies? Very cleaned, relaxed and smooth. Yes, I’m a Chef and business owner so, I pay an attention to all details and services. Lastly, everything came out quickly. My server was Victoria and I loved her. She was very bubbly with a nice smile. Also, she was funny and friendly. But, what I like the most she knew the menu. It takes a lot to impress me and I am very impressed. And I found free parking outside.

“Everything we ordered was so delicious.”

Everything we ordered was so delicious! Particularly the mushroom flatbread and the wagyu burger! 12/10! Service was excellent. Our waiter was so sweet and nice. The manager also came to our table a couple times to check in. Once the manager learned that we are celebrating a birthday that day, he came out with a chocolate torte and a candle lit! It was so sweet of them. Definitely a hidden treasure in HP. I heard they might open on Saturdays soon!

I have been here twice, and each time, the place was completely booked, and they had to say no to more customers. It is beautifully designed, and the staff adds to one's experience at the restaurant. The highlight of our meal was the dessert.

Great ambiance, friendly staff, and tasty food. However, the food portions are a bit small. I tried: 1) Steak Frites - A little bit of sliced steak with a lot of fries. 2) Wagyu Cheddar Burger - Super. 3) Chocolate Torte - Delicious. Overall, the food is delicious, and the staff is warm and friendly. However, they could improve the portion sizes, especially considering the price.
