“We decided to dine in the first time out of spontaneity and were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant looked fairly empty aside from one couple and a family dining in with us. But there were plenty of food delivery people coming in to get their orders. We thought about getting the food to go but I’m so glad we stayed! The atmosphere feels like you were taken back to the 90s. If you’ve watched Sex and the City, I definitely felt like I was meeting Mr. Big in a hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant. I recommend coming here and getting the egg rolls, BBQ pork fried rice, and the wonton soup. They were my favorites!”

“New fav spot ! Ive been looking for a good Chinese spot and it’s been in my neighborhood this whole time . I had tried once when i was younger but wasn't too good . But finally gave it another chance after all these years and it was delicious really enjoyed it. one of the best orange chickens ive had, rice was really good and the egg roll was fire! Def will be coming back”

“Highly recommend! Everything is AWSOME! To anyone reading reviews: don’t let a few negative comments scare you off. Everyone has different tastes, but Lee’s has built a loyal customer base for a reason. I’ve been coming to Lee’s Chop Suey for over 10 years, and I can honestly say the food has never let me down. The taste is always consistent, fresh, and absolutely delicious. Their General Tso’s chicken is the BEST dish ever—no competition! It’s crispy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced every single time. I’ve tried General Tso’s from many places, but nothing comes close to Lee’s. And don’t even get me started on their egg rolls—they’re hands down the best in the city! Golden, crispy, and packed with flavor.”

“the Food was quite literally not edible, 17$ were a complete waste. Zero taste in the fried rice ,orange chicken was horrible very cheap nothing stood out about the flavor. No originality all breading no chicken. The crab ragoon was not good at all! I thought my experience might differ from the negative ones but unfortunately I was just another customer dissatisfied and extremely disappointed. Please do better! Step it up especially for your delivery orders. I’m sure dine is might be taken more seriously when cooking. Have a good rest of your year.”

“The food didn't taste good and this was my first and last time here .”

“Food bags leaking, didn’t receive what we ordered. Photo is of their $6 “Large Rice”. No pancakes included with moo shu order. Go anywhere else.”

“Very disappointing. We spent over $90 for five dishes, and unfortunately, the quality didn’t come close to justifying the price. The beef in black bean sauce was sitting in a pool of thin, watery liquid with barely any flavor. The General Tso’s chicken, which should be crispy, was completely soggy, even though we ate it right away. Nothing stood out as particularly tasty or well-made. For the cost, we expected far better. Sadly, this was an expensive and underwhelming experience that we won’t be repeating.”
“Neighborhood staple for several decades. Family run restaurant. Great food & pricing. Everything is delicious! Sit down, delivery or take out available.”
“As a regular at Chi Cafe and Minghin - expectations are high, but I’m happy to report that Lee’s Chop Suey delivers and I’d happily put them side by side with what the best Chicago Chinatown has the offer. Flavors are punchy for the American pallet and orange chicken was a great balance between saucey and crispy. Would definitely order from them again and ordering over the phone was easy and smooth. Crab Rangoon was solid - would definitely come back. I have a severe peanut allergy, and hostess informed me they only use vegetable oil. No allergic reaction, great experience overall. My chicken in my chicken fried rice was a bit dry (maybe a little old since I ordered around 9pm) but to put Lee’s in the same bucket as Chi Cafe / Minghin is a major win in my book especially on the north side.”
“I’ve ordered from them while at work a couple times every time has been incredible, the egg rolls are phenomenal. The egg foo young is great I get it spicy please don’t believe the haters. I’m new to Lees yet they have won my back over lol they are my new Chinese spot….. 💯❤️✌🏾🙏🏾”
“Ive loved Lee's for a long time, i drive into the city just for their food. Always good food and drinks!!”
