These tamales are the bomb!. 🔥 Soft, flavorful, a little spicy. My favorite tamales outside of Mexico.
The tamales are so good!. They are soft, fresh and, filled!. They definitely don't skimp out on the meat!
Best tamales for miles. Pupusas do take a while but still worth the wait ⭐.

“Excellent homemade tamales and pupusas”
The tamales here used to be so good until these recent months.
The tamales were overly greasy, with what seemed like an excessive amount of lard.
“Wow they knocked it out of the park with these, I was not expecting them to be this good.”
Wow they knocked it out of the park with these, I was not expecting them to be this good. I tried the Oaxaca, which is pork-filled, chicken in green sauce, and rajas con queso, which was my favorite. I went in around 11:30am on a Saturday, and they were already out of chicken in red sauce, for pupusas you do have to order ahead or wait 15 minutes for them to be ready, which I didn’t want to wait for, but imagine are very delicious. Overall very tasty and well seasoned, the girl at the register was kind and paid $20 for 9 tamales.

“Some of the best tamales in the city.”
Some of the best tamales in the city. The tamales here are always delicious I would really recommend them. The rajas con queso and the green tamales are definitely my favorite. The staff is always friendly. Always glad to support a family owned business that takes pride in the food they serve.

“$1.80 per tamal is already a rare find in this economy but these were also big and delicious.”
$1.80 per tamal is already a rare find in this economy but these were also big and delicious. With only a small table of three, it’s really more of a takeout spot but honestly, who’s complaining? Don’t miss the cheese and jalapeño tamal.

“The name of this place is misleading because it is not a restaurant.”
The name of this place is misleading because it is not a restaurant. La Bendicion is a place to order and pick up food. I ordered the strawberry tamales that my daughter wanted. The tamales were bright red and had raisins but did not smell or taste like strawberries as they should. Do not recommend those. The chicken in red sauce was delicious; you can taste the chicken, and the red sauce was delicious. Also, the restaurant uses plastic bags for the tamales, which is unsuitable for the environment. They should use recycled paper. If you want to order tamales, call ahead and pick them up from 4-5 AM to 3 PM. Sundays, they close at noon. Each tamal is $1.50

Tamale are ehh and hate the sauce on it.. it taste like nothing. Got the cheese and jalapeno tamale thinking it was gonna be without sauce but NOPE sauce came on it.. asked for regular chicken and hot red chicken tamale 😩 why say regular when it’s not? The tamale made my stomach hurt so baddddddd. I should stop being so lazy and make my own, mine taste better than these. Oh these tamale smell like light fluid 🤮🤮

“The tamales here used to be so good until these recent months.”
The tamales here used to be so good until these recent months. Not only have the tamales gotten very dry but they are stingy on filling and sauce. I ordered the Tamales de Rajas and they gave me a strip of the skin 🤦♂️ I felt like I was in a desert while eating these tamales. The workers are very nice; however, if you are going to order tamales order them from the second location as those are way better. I am disappointed

“I been going to this restaurant for years and not sure if there’s new cooks, but i went yesterday...”
I been going to this restaurant for years and not sure if there’s new cooks, but i went yesterday to buy a dozen and a half of tamales in salsa verde and there was barely any meat nor salsa in them And i had to put my own green salsa from home! I called Restuarant today due to the fact they close at 3pm and closed by the time i got home to eat them with my kids yesterday, to let them know my experience with the food, and the lady who got on the phn was trying to tell me it was because i didn’t eat them right away smdh! Very unprofessional and said only way she will give money back or different tamales is if i brought back all 18 of them! And i told her we ate 3 of them and she said she can’t do nothing so i Hu on her but i will never go back there again!!

“Called yesterday morning to put in an order and a guy named Edwin told me I couldn’t because I...”
Called yesterday morning to put in an order and a guy named Edwin told me I couldn’t because I needed to order 5 dozen (mind you I only need 2 dozen because we’re a family of 5) I asked Edwin if there will still be tamales available at around 12:45 because my husband will pick it up on his lunch break and he told me yeah no problem. I even asked are you sure and he said yeah don’t worry. My husband goes and they make him wait because they are only serving people who placed orders. Fine no problem. My husband then goes to the cashier and asks for 2 dozen 12 green and 12 red they tell him he needed to have placed an order he then tells the cashier my wife called and spoke to Edwin and he said they would be available after a few minutes of talking to each other (the cashier and some of the workers) they tell my husband there’s only 6 greens and my husband says ok give me the rest red. The cashier then gives him the tamales and my husband brings them home and this is what we get. All masa, dry, barely any meat inside just horrible. Never buying from here again.
