“Awesome! The tamales, rice, beans, chile relleno, and albondigas were all fantastic! Super flavorful. My favorite was the thick handmade tortillas. Pretty reasonably priced too!”

“So excited to see this place open up! The bistec a la Mexicana was excellent. The meatballs -- wow. I could eat 20 of them. Amazing! The rice is very flavorful as well. I'm excited to run through the whole menu! The menu is much different than Cafe Tola, so if you're looking for empanadas, tacos, or burritos, that's where you have to go. The plates here are excellent meals!”
“One of my favorite places in the city for breakfast and lunch. Fresh hand made tortillas and awesome tamales and salsa. If you catch em at the right time they have empanadas too. I wish they were open later though”
“I am addicted to their tamales! Cafe Tola is a favorite spot for my fiancé and I, so we immediately tried this place. Incredible food with decent prices. Could the Tamales be spicier? Sure, but I also understand that they are appealing to a larger customer base. Spice level does not take away from the large portion, moist masa, and flavorful fillings. Especially for a north side establishment. I order from them on Uber Eats all the time and it’s amazing every time. Thank you to the family for birthing yet another outstanding restaurant!”
“Best tamales en chicago, great find - if you like tamales check it out for sure”
“Love this place! Friendly service, great food, great prices. The tamales are my favorite!”
“The most tender delicious corn tortillas of my life! Delicious and generous fillings too. Gluten-free friendly establishment. Atmosphere was charming and service was excellent. Limited seating, but comfortable.”
“Delicious! The sauces seem to always come on the side for the tamales. Atole is delicious and tacos and yummy.”
“Bien rico el atole y pan 🫶🏼🥐 muy amable la señora de ahí también !”
“Much like its notable establishments Cafe Tola and Doña Tola, this place did not disappoint. They offer tacos, tamales, soups, and platillos, which is your choice of entree with rice, beans and tortillas. We had the potato and egg and chicharron platillos - chefs kiss. But the rice and beans are what really made this so delicious. We also got red pork and green chicken tamales - amazing! The best tamales I’ve had on the north side. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. I know I’ll be returning!”
“OMG!!! Chicken tinga taco is to die for! Huge portion of chicken in a hand made homemade tortilla and in a delicious red sauce with tons of flavor. I had to eat this taco with a fork it was too big to lift up and eat. Pictures will be included. The poblano rice is absolutely delicious full of garlicky flavor. Opens early at 6am. Their tamales are absolutely amazing as well.”
