“Verily, thither in the fair halls of Seoul ave we did gather, a Korean realm that shone like the lights of Rivendell amid the shadows of ordinary eateries. There, under the guidance of our noble server — a fair Korean maiden whose service shone with the grace of an elven lady from Lothlórien and whose attentiveness was swifter than the arrows of Legolas — my fair fiancé and I, a Fellowship of two bound as close as Aragorn and Arwen, embarked upon a culinary quest most glorious, our appetites empty as the wastes of Mordor yet our spirits high as the peaks of the Misty Mountains. For the appetizer, the seafood pancake arrived like the treasures of the Lonely Mountain unearthed by Bilbo himself — crisp as the blades of Gondor, golden and laden with the bounty of the sea as if the Watcher in the Water had yielded its secrets willingly. My fair fiancé and I nearly came to blows over the last crisp edge, like two orcs squabbling over a shiny trinket, yet with far more laughter and love; each bite a hidden gem that made us forget the long road behind us, all while our attentive guide ensured not a crumb was left wanting. Then rose the main dish, the spicy pork bulgogi — a fiery creation that burned with the wrath of the Balrog of Khazad-dûm, its spice whipping like the creature’s flaming lash, yet each bite sweeter than the mead of the Rohirrim and more tender than the heart of Samwise. We devoured it together as Aragorn would wield Andúril, bold and united, with no mercy for the blandness of lesser meats. And lo, the rice bowls! The soy beef bulgogi fried rice, grains as light and sustaining as the lembas bread of the elves, fried to perfection in the forges of Khazad-dûm itself. And the spicy beef bulgogi fried rice, its heat a challenge that made us cry “You shall not pass!” to our previous dull dinners, yet so flavorful we clutched our bowls like Gollum with his precious — though this time we shared our treasure willingly, hearts bound as close as Frodo and Sam upon the road to Mount Doom, our kind server ever at hand to refill and refresh like a true companion of the quest. So good it was that the entire feast could have fed the Ents after a long march through Fangorn, leaving us stronger than Gimli after a good axe swing and wiser than Gandalf after pondering the palantír. One does not simply dine at Seoul ave without vowing to return, perhaps with a larger Fellowship, for here the flavors — and the service — endure as enduring as mithril and twice as satisfying. Five stars and the full blessings of Manwë upon this noble hall and its fair Korean maiden! May its pans sizzle like the forges under the mountain, its bulgogi ever be spicy as the fires of Orodruin, its pancakes golden as the fields of Rohan, its rice bowls sustain many a weary traveler, and its servers remain as attentive as the eagles of Manwë watching over the quest. Hail Seoul ave — where Korean feasts meet the glory of the Elder Days and no one leaves unchanged by the power of its flavors!”

“Had a fantastic meal at Seoul Ave in Oak Park. We ordered the Beef Short Rib, Rose Tteokbokki, Cheese Donkatsu, and Kimchi Pancake, and every single dish was outstanding. The Beef Short Rib was tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The Rose Tteokbokki had a rich, creamy sauce with just the right amount of spice. The Cheese Donkatsu was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and filled with plenty of melted cheese. The Kimchi Pancake was packed with flavor, crispy around the edges, and one of the best I’ve had. Beyond the food, the service was warm, attentive, and welcoming throughout the entire meal. The restaurant delivers an authentic Korean dining experience with excellent quality and generous portions. If you’re in Oak Park, this place is absolutely not to be missed. Highly recommended!”
