Oh so satisfying dish from K-Kitchen at Chicago’s awesome French Market (awesomely open on Saturday). I ordered the Hot Tofu Soup (with pork) and it is warming, savory and just the right level of savory spice 😍

“Had the popcorn chicken.”
Had the popcorn chicken. Great value, gochujang sauce not so spicy, chicken stayed hot and crispy until I finished the meal.

“I have to start off by saying I am a bit biased of K-kitchen.”
I have to start off by saying I am a bit biased of K-kitchen. Hannah, the chef, is an amazing person. I have been coming for about two years. Ive had everything on the menu. I have to say, i have never had a bad meal. I truly believe that this is the best Korean food in the Chicagoland area. It's in a food market, so don't expect servers, this is a order and sit, but trust me it's worth it. I could go on and on about the food, but go and try it. You will not be disappointed..

“First off, i dont leave reviews ever, but I felt i should leave one for K-Kitchen.”
First off, i dont leave reviews ever, but I felt i should leave one for K-Kitchen. The staff is AMAZING. Hanna & Chuy always have a smile on their faces, and you can tell they love what they do. They've gone above and beyond to make sure the food is on par and the customer is happy. I always get the Korean Popcorn Chicken w/ honey butter and it's never disappointed me. It's an easy go-to for sure. I also normally get a side of gochujang sauce as well & they always make sure they include it even when I forget to ask for it. I can't stress enough how awesome they are at K-kitchen and how much I suggest you go try the food there if you haven't before! 10/10 def recommended.

“I haven't eaten at K- Kitchen in a few years and did not realize the business has been taken over by the daughter.”
I haven't eaten at K- Kitchen in a few years and did not realize the business has been taken over by the daughter. She has a new, much pared down, menu...in a good way (do fewer things, and do them really well). I just enjoyed the Hot Tofu Soup with rice and it was DELICIOUS! I will definitely be coming back often!

“Inside the OTC French Market.”
Inside the OTC French Market. Very good quality, good selection of authentic Korean dishes with fast, friendly and efficient service. Good spice level on all dishes. Spicy garlic pork especially recommended as are Kimchi dumplings.

“Located in the French market, this Korean restaurant makes simple meals.”
Located in the French market, this Korean restaurant makes simple meals. I highly suggest getting their bibimbap bowl and sweet potato fries with honey. These are both really good dishes and are pretty quick to come out. Service is very OK. If you order a water on a separate transaction, they will not give that to you ahead of time until your full meal is ready. Atmosphere is nice as it is in a large food court.

Was thrilled to try out the croffle (waffle croissant) and was disappointed when it came out overly crispy (to the point of it almost being burned). I only ate the inside since the outside tasted a bit burned. Was really hoping it would meet the high expectations I had for it. May need to come back and ask them to only cook it until it's nice and soft. That said, the other food looks quite good and I hope I can come back and try the other dishes.

“Korean popcorn chicken was what I had.”
Korean popcorn chicken was what I had. Do not get me wrong - this fills you up and is not absolutely unappealing, but especially if you are big on Korean (and other Asian) cuisine, I did not feel that this place had much to write home about. What ultimately causes me to leave three stars instead of four is that the rice I was served was relatively dry compared to other locales that serve rice.
