“Great sushi, nice/attentive staff, and a cute atmosphere! The pricing is not bad, pretty comparable for the city. I think the sushi tasted fresh, and I enjoyed my dine-in here. It seemed like a lot of people were getting takeout, so that's always an option as well. Highly recommend their gyoza and spicy salmon roll.”

“Tiny sushi spot serving up the freshest and best sushi in Lincoln Park, and definitely top 3 sushi in all of Chicago. There is usually a wait since the place is so small, but we walked in and sat no problem on a Thursday at 6p. We ordered The Big 10 role (5/5), the Spicy Panda (5/5) and a Philadelphia roll (5). Each was very unique and you can tell how fresh the fish is. I used to come more often and I'm glad to see this place is still serving amazing sushi.”

“As a sushi connoisseur of having tried many sushi restaurants throughout Chicago, I must say that Toro makes extremely flavorful maki rolls with interesting pairings of sauces, ingredients and condiments. The selling point is their fish and roe of the rolls I’ve tried are all quite fresh without any fishy flavor. If you tend to heavier salty flavors, this is your place! Tried their Salmon Twist and Halloween at your visit!”

“Had a really great time here! Excellent quality for a neighbourhood sushi spot and very fairly priced.”

“Came in on a Friday night unplanned as a different restaurant I had in mind was closed. The space was charming and had cute decor. It’s a bit small for a party, but perfect for a casual date night with my partner! We ordered miso soup to start, a salmon hand roll, the Mango Mango Roll, the Spring Blossom and the Yum Yum Yummy. The miso soup was alright, but the rolly were delicious. The mango was sweet and the fish in the rolls were fresh. I would recommend this place and come back :)”

“Now hoooweee this ramen was good my sister and i got the Spicy miso ramen and Wow just wow it was delicious i wasnt even hungry then i took a bite! could not Stop 10/10 everyone was very very nice”

“We came in on a Saturday and it was not busy yet so we didn’t have to wait to sit down. They have limited seating and it is very cute inside. The server and chef made sure my special request was respected which was very nice of them. I don’t love raw fish so I got the avocado roll and sweet potato roll, which were both everything I wanted. I will for sure be back.”

“Enjoyable experience with take out- food was good, hot, and good size. Check it out!”

“This is my partner and I’s go-to date night spot! Never disappointed. Granted we know what we like, so we order 3-4 spicy tuna crunch rolls but they are always so consistent & delicious! We also typically have the same server (can’t remember his name unfortunately) but he deserves a shoutout! Such nice staff and a cute / cozy ambiance. BYOB is awesome as well! Highly recommend this sushi joint!”

“I’ve always loved Toro’s sushi. I order delivery, and get the spicy tuna roll every single time. This time it seems like they’re adding some white fish to the tuna. Not sure if there’s some way to explain these big chunks of white fish in the spicy tuna, but I’ve never seen this before. It’s disappointing.”
