“The sushi selection is incredible, with everything from super fresh sashimi to creative specialty rolls that look as good as they taste”
Poor quality. The Salmon and Tuna both look the same. It’s a pale orange slush. It’s some sort of blended mixture.
Worse location.....!. Food quality is terrible compared to Orland and Lincoln Park.

“When we first walked in there was a huge cat sculpture that is great for pictures, and overall very cute.”
When we first walked in there was a huge cat sculpture that is great for pictures, and overall very cute! Then immediately they sat us down, and the seats, and tables were very clean and up to par. The service was very good, as they brought a beautifully stacked plate of sushi in around 15 minutes. We also got some lightly-salted edamame that was also very tasty. Our waiter's name was Devi, and she was very swift at her job, kind, and also checked in on us all throughout the time that we were eating. The miso soup was probably the best tasting miso ever! The rice on all of the rolls was very thin, which made it taste better. For desert we also got yummy green tea, and vanilla mochi! They also have around 5 tv's so you can be entertained too! The atmosphere is very lodge-like, cozy, and old-timey. We also got all you can eat for $25, plus the prices were overall affordable! They also play some backround music, have seasonal decor, and fabulous service! This was a very pleasant lunch experience at Sushi Nova, for my first time in Chicago!

Living in Michigan, it’s hard to find an all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant, so whenever I travel to Chicago, visiting one always goes on my to-do list. Sushi Nova is a great spot downtown where you can enjoy fresh sushi and a wide variety of appetizers at a very reasonable price. The lunch all-you-can-eat option is only $25.99, and the quality is impressive for the price. Another bonus is the location—after eating, you can take a nice walk along the Riverwalk to help with digestion and enjoy the city views. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Chicago and craving sushi!

“At first, I was skeptical about this restaurant when we arrived.”
At first, I was skeptical about this restaurant when we arrived. At the entrance, there was a waving lucky cat figurine — a very Chinese touch. Then we were seated, and the plates had Korean writing on them. Honestly, there was nothing Japanese about the place, and the sushi was being prepared by Mexican staff. So, from the “Japanese” part, we didn’t really see anything authentic. However, I still gave it 5 stars because of the outstanding service from our waiter. He truly lifted our mood and made the evening special. The portions were also large and quite tasty. We came on Labor Day, when many restaurants were closed, but this one was open. There was even a giant waving cat at the entrance that made for a fun photo. In the end, my impression completely changed. I would, however, recommend that the restaurant update their plates. They were plastic with visible tape and stickers, clearly old and probably bought second-hand from a closing Korean restaurant. That part really needs improvement. But overall, I highly recommend this place — especially thanks to our wonderful waiter from Indonesia, who truly made our evening. Thank you!

“Was excited to see an AYCE sushi spot open up closer to where we live.”
Was excited to see an AYCE sushi spot open up closer to where we live! Checked it out for the first time on a weeknight date and had an awesome experience. Immediately dug the atmosphere as soon as we walked in. The sushi was delicious—usually I would ask for a side of sauces, but was totally not necessary as everything was already flavorful. Our server, Hendry, was phenomenal! Very attentive, very friendly, he took really good care of us. Totally seeing this becoming our new go to place for all you can eat sushi!

Please come and give a try !! It’s 31.99$ on weekend but it’s worth it when you try sushi. Best sushi’s angry dragon 🐉 and Godzilla !! And Chicken and calamari appetizers is a must !!

Chris was my server and he made sure I was aware of how much I was ordering so that I would be ok if I got charged for not finishing everything! He was warm and fun and made sure my appetizer came in a blink! Super happy to be able to get one of my favorite drinks-Thai iced tea 😍 thanks Chris!!🖤

“Maida was a great waitress!!”
Maida was a great waitress!!! She’s was so bubbly and attentive! I would come back for the lunch all you can eat on the weekend! The drinks were very good and reasonably priced!! If anything, I’d come back just for the drinks and get the Mai tai again (I couldn’t taste the alcohol but it definitely wasn’t watered down!!)! Overall a great experience (if you’re expecting medium level quality sushi) and I’ll be back!
